Also in Vadodara the Beloved One accomplished the work of his people — let me relate it briefly, listen, all men and women. The power that Shri Hari himself wields is boundless today; it cannot be told by anyone, such is this extraordinary way. In earlier incarnations too, wonders were fulfilled, taken up out of love for his people; but the manner of today surpasses even that, without limit. However much is told, how far can it go — with one tongue, such boundless renown? But whatever comes into my knowledge, let me speak something of it.

There was a fine devotee of the goldsmith caste, named Trikamji, whose son Dayalji would enter concentration and behold the divine abodes. One day, having entered concentration, he went to where the World's Lord was; there were many gods present, offering praise — thirty-three crore of them.

Maharaj asked them, "Are all you gods pleased?" "Then let us install the form of Nar-Narayan here at once." Then the gods said, "Very good — this pleases us greatly. He is the very Lord of this land, yet nowhere is there an image of him.

"So this work must certainly be done," said the assembly of gods. Dayalji, having seen this, came and brought this news here. He had seen the gods in his concentration, and told their names and forms. All were astonished to hear this — let me also tell one more of his stories.

Trikamji said to his father, "Listen, Dayalji, to this account: whatever garland you ask for in your concentration, if the Lord gives it, bring it here." Ichcharam and Ranchhod said, "We long for a garland from the Lord's own hand. From where would we get prasad garlands? If we ask, he gives out of compassion, that gentle one."

Laldas and Rangnath said, "Nath, give a garland along with you (i.e., through Dayalji) — that would be no small thing, to receive an extraordinary garland directly." Then Bhagwandas said, "I do not have a rosary-bag (gaumukhi). From where would I get one as prasad — if you can, bring one, please, for me."

Varanasi (a devotee) said, "Listen, Dhala — I have neither prayer-beads nor rosary. The Lord gives to everyone out of compassion — ask, pleading, for mine as well." Hearing all these requests, Dayalji then sat in meditation. He went in concentration to the Lord's presence, and the Imperishable One spoke with great affection:

"What have you come to receive today? Ask, and I shall give," said Maharaj. Then Dayalji said, "Listen, Nath, I have come asking for six garlands with me. A rosary-bag, and one gaumukhi too — give me these, in addition."

Then Nath gave all of these, and Dayalji, waking, brought them along. Whatever each had asked for, exactly that, he gave a garland of that kind to each. Coarse and fine, made of sandalwood and tulsi beads, he gave, along with one new gaumukhi.

All who saw were astonished, saying, "Blessed, Swami," bowing their heads. Brothers, this is truly a great matter — what other wonder could compare with this?

Also, one day, the compassionate Dayal, having entered concentration, became content. He came out of concentration bringing guava fruits, five times over. Sometimes five, sometimes seven, seven — he would bring them from concentration, directly proven. Giving prasad, and taking some for himself, thus Nath gave many such wonders.

After that, in concentration again, he brought five ripe bananas. After that, many times, barfi; pedas and patasa without number. Sugar, and coconut too, he would bring fresh prasad continually. He brought otherworldly things night and day — telling and writing of it, there is no end to it.

Also, one day the compassionate one came manifest and ate a full plate. Many people, the greatly renowned, beheld him; having eaten, the all-knowing one departed. Thus wonders occur continually — blessed, blessed is this devotee's love.

Let me tell another account, believe it true: his silver garland was stolen. The thief had hidden it well, so that no one could find it or trace it. Then Dayalji, entering concentration, went to where Hari was. Seeing Dhala, Maharaj said, "I shall give back your lost thing today."

Then that very garland, that very silver, he placed in Dayalji's hand. Waking, Dayalji found it given, and recognized and took the garland and silver. Seeing this wonder, the people were astonished, and everyone began saying, "Blessed, blessed."

Seeing such an extraordinary way, everyone considered it great fortune. Let me tell one more story, of the greatness Shriji wielded. There was a good goldsmith, Vallabhji, a loving devotee dear to Bhagwan. He kept his vows with great devotion, eating food prepared with careful attention.

One day the delusion of concern over microscopic creatures (in food) arose, and his happiness left him, his peace disturbed. Then he resolved in his mind: "From today I shall take no food at all." Many days passed for him thus, yet still his mind would not turn to eating.

He worshipped Maharaj continually, and because of it remained in great exaltation. Then Maharaj sent word, saying, "You need not keep this vow.

"Eat food from today onward — do not maintain the practice of fasting perpetually." When this word came directly from his own mouth, then hunger came upon Vallabh. Seeing such greatness of Nath, everyone said, "Blessed, blessed."

Such astonishing matters are these — I cannot write them all as they occurred. Let me also praise a Kshatriya devotee, named Vajesinh, known to me. Fever came upon his body, and he lost all desire for food and water.

In severe fever his body burned, yet still he would not give up worship even by his mouth. Then the Support of Life came and told the fever to leave his body. Then the fever left at that moment, taking manifest form and standing outside.

Nath had a fine cane in hand, and struck the fever three times with it. The fever fled, crying out in pain: "Nath, do not be so angry! I shall never enter this person's body again — if I do, consider me a thief before you." Thus he cast the fever out of the person, and, giving darshan, departed from there.

Also, the devotee Adit, a mason, had fever come upon him in the same way. Maharaj drove it out in the same manner, and it never returned again, driven off decisively. Thus moment by moment, instant by instant, many wonders reach his people; he protects them in countless ways, removing his people's suffering at every turn.

There was a Vaishya devotee, Bapuji, who became a satsangi, abandoning bad company. He knew Sahajanand Swami as true, and knew others to be angry, greedy, or lustful. Knowing this, he took up satsang, and its color never left his being.

He worshipped Hari continually, without the slightest doubt in his conviction. One day, for darshan, he longed greatly for Maharaj, remembering him again and again. Nath came in an extraordinary form, in his beautiful, dark, cloud-hued form.

Bapu Bhai, the greatly renowned, saw him, the manifest Swami himself arrived. He rose and fell at the Lord's feet, joy overflowing beyond his heart's capacity. He understood that the manifest one had come — the wise one had not at first recognized the form as it approached. He gave darshan to all, calling them, and young and old alike came and beheld Nath.

Then he went to fetch worship materials, and in that time Maharaj departed, having come out. All who saw were astonished — blessed, blessed is the way of the satsangi. Thus the compassionate one gives darshan in this manner — such a thing has never been heard of at any time. Where Hari gives such wonders, there is no account higher than this.

Many incarnations have occurred and will occur, but the Beloved has set this occasion apart. The joy that he has given today, Nishkulanand cannot write it all down.
