- જે જાગૃત અવસ્થામાં હોય તે; ચૈતન્ય; ચેતન. | સાત અજ્ઞાન ભૂમિકા માંહેની એક ભૂમિકા. તે ભૂમિકામાં અહંતા, મમત્વ બુદ્ધિ વગેરે અલ્પાંશે જાગે છે તેથી તે જાગ્રત કહેવાય છે. આ ભૂમિકામાં કીટ, પતંગ, પશુ, પક્ષી વગેરે માની શકાય. | ચાલાક; હોશિયાર; સાવધાન; સાવચેત; સાવધ; પ્રકાશમાન. | જાગતું; ઊંઘતું ન હોય તેવું; નિદ્રા રહિત. | તરત પારખું બતાવે તેવું. | દૂર અંદેશ. | સતેજ; સચેત. | સદા જાગૃત અવસ્થામાં રહેનાર; વેદમાં વપરાયેલું રુદ્રનું એક વિશેષણ. | સંપ્રજ્ઞાત; પરિદૃષ્ટ; બોધસ્વભાવવાળું.
