- દરરોજ થતો પ્રલય; નિદ્રા; સુષુપ્તિ. વેદાંતપરિભાષામાં ચાર જાતના પ્રલય કહ્યા છેઃ નિત્ય, નૈમિત્તિક, પ્રાકૃતિક અને આત્યંતિક. તેમાં સુષુપ્તિને નિત્યપ્રલય કહે છે. જે પ્રમાણે પ્રલયકાળમાં કોઈ કાર્યનું જ્ઞાન થતું નથી, તે પ્રમાણે સુષુપ્તિ અવસ્થામાં પણ થતું નથી. આ અવસ્થા હમેશ થાય છે. દરરોજ માણસ ઊંઘી જાય છે ત્યારે તેની નજર આગળ જગત દેખાતું નથી. તે નિત્યપ્રલય કહેવાય છે. બ્રહ્માના લવ, નિમેષ અને દિવસમાં સર્વ ઉત્પન્ન થઈને જે નાશ પામે છે તેનું નામ નિત્યપ્રલય કહેવાય છે. | પ્રાણીનો હમેશ થતો નાશ.
