A maid of a merchant does all the household work. She takes care of the merchant's only son. The boy is healthy and a bit heavy. He does not walk on the ground; he has to be carried. Therefore, the maid gets tired. Then, in her mind, she expresses her frustration, "He is like a heavy log. He is as heavy as a candy." "He is like a heavy log, he is as heavy as a candy. But my legs are broken. What to do? I have to fill my stomach." Thus, it is very difficult for her to take care of him. But if in that place it were his sister, and he were her own dear brother, then no matter how he was, he would not seem like a heavy log. She would say, "He is my brother, he is very wise," and she would show affection and not even feel tired. Obstacles are mentioned in that, which disrupt the relationship with God; there are two such factors. There are two factors that disrupt it. Which are those two factors? One is the seeker's body-consciousness. And secondly, that disruption can also happen due to Maharaj's actions. If Maharaj ever performs actions that are hard for him to digest, then his Nishchay Nishchay Unfaltering faith in Bhagvãn, no matter what is seen or heard. Tap to open in glossary → wavers. That no matter how much lust, anger, etc., a person has, it does not matter; even if it is double, it does not matter; and even if it is unlimited, it does not matter. He makes a mental compromise that such things exist. If someone has an only son who is very dear, and he is completely mentally unstable, then? Still, he seems very wise to him. What to do? He is mine. And he is dear, so he seems very wise to him. If mucus is running from his nose, he does not see it as mucus. What does he see? Pearls are dripping. He does not let them fall down, so he wipes it with his turban. If he has not tied a turban, he wipes it with the hem of his shirt. Pearls cannot be allowed to fall down, right? So he sees it like that. Similarly, if he has connected with God, then that issue does not arise. The root is indeed the connection. That is why Maharaj said that no matter how much lust, anger, etc., a person has, even if it is double or unlimited, still he does not see flaws. So, because they do not see flaws in their child, have the parents become Brahmarup? Huh? So where did they get that compromise from? Have the parents become Brahmarup? The compromise they make is entirely within body-consciousness. So even within body-consciousness, they all make this much compromise; everyone compromises in worldly relationships. That if it is his, then we do not mind. Still, he does not cease to be ours. And even with this love, it does not cease. And in that, even with surrender, it does not cease, for him. That much is with body-consciousness. And that other is from the spiritual state. Nirvikalp Nirvikalp Without alternatives or doubts. Even if it is of the spiritual state, still all this becomes difficult when God performs actions. Therefore, Maharaj says that to remain in the spiritual state towards God means that no matter what kind of actions God performs, one thinks in one's mind, "No worldly passion affects me, so how can it affect Him by whose grace I became like this?" He remains in that spiritual contemplation, right? There is a purpose. There is a purpose. So no matter how great he becomes, he remains bound in a state of servitude with God. He does not assume equality with God; he remains a servant of servants. That is spiritual contemplation. Bhakti Bhakti Devotion to Bhagvãn. One of the four attributes of ekãntik dharma. What if we came and light shone around our body, and wherever Maharaj went, it became dark? Then would we worship God or not? Huh? Then would we accept Him as the master or not? Would we worship Him or not? What would happen? It would not happen. Huh? That would not happen to us. It happens by Maharaj's will. If Maharaj does so, it happens. Maharaj told Shethji, "Go, now by your word, samadhi will occur." If Maharaj tells someone, "Here, wherever you go, rays of light will burst forth," then they do. And then even when he comes near Maharaj, they burst forth. And if Maharaj is sitting and it has become dark at night, and wherever this person goes, it becomes bright? And if Maharaj is visible by his light, then what happens? Then what would our state be? It would be like Shethji's. Then is it said that the spiritual state has been attained? It happened to Garudji like that, didn't it? Garudji is eternally liberated. He did not become liberated by anyone's teachings, right? We say eternally liberated, like Gunatitanand Swami and Gopalanand Swami, eternally liberated. So Garudji is eternally liberated. So even he faced a problem. What? "If I were not there, this work would not have happened." No, no, but because God was bound by the serpent-noose, God remembered Garudji, so Garudji came and all those serpents fled. Fearing, they fled one by one. So a doubt arose in Garudji's mind, "Look, if I release Him, only then is He released. So how can He release me? Of what use is He to me?" He did not need to be released; he was eternally liberated and God was also eternally liberated. If there was no need to release Him, then why does he perform bhajan bhajan Worship.
