So, is it the thought of consciousness or one's own thought?
Huh? One's own thought.
What's wrong with thinking about consciousness?
Consciousness is like this, like that, rays burst from it.
It doesn't come into anyone's grasp.
Does consciousness come?
Can anyone strike consciousness with a sword?
So?
If someone strikes consciousness with a sword, what happens?
Nothing happens.
The sword gets cut.
Because consciousness is finer than it, isn't it, finer?
Didn't God say in the Gita?
It cannot be cut, it cannot be burnt, it cannot be wet, it cannot be dried.
Then what did it say in the commentary?
What did it say in the commentary? Why is it not cut?
Because whatever is finer than it,
it cuts it.
Whatever is finer than it, it cuts it.
So, is the soul finer or the sword finer?
Huh? The soul is finer.
So, who cuts whom?
The soul cuts the sword.
So, what kind of thought should one have?
Huh? What does self-reflection mean?
Self-reflection means one's own thought.
Constantly spiritual,
free from desires,
liberated from dualities,
free from attachment to happiness and sorrow, the deluded attain the imperishable state.
Those who constantly maintain spirituality attain the imperishable state.
Maintaining spirituality means maintaining self-reflection.
They go to God's abode.
What is self-reflection?
It's like the sword cuts that, but the sword doesn't cut that.
It wets the water.
But it doesn't get wet by the water.
Isn't that right?
It is said so in the Gita.
If you want to wet water, who can wet it?
The soul wets it.
But it doesn't get wet.
Because it is much finer than that.
That is not called self-reflection.
That is just a target.
That one should become like this.
What is considered self-reflection?
How much am I lacking in that target?
Then it is said that he has done self-reflection.
That is just a target.
That a true soul is like this.
Brother, everyone has different beliefs.
That is just the general belief of Samkhya.
But whom did Ramanujacharya consider the soul?
He is a servant of God.
He considered the one who attains the eight qualities and becomes a servant of God as the soul.
So, is that self-reflection?
Why?
We did it according to the Brahmasutras.
Huh? Did you do self-reflection according to the Brahmasutras?
Did you hear the Brahmasutras or not? Or did you not hear them at all?
Were you not in the place?
Huh?
Did you leave before that?
Then this is not your work here.
Our tea won't brew.
Self-reflection means one's own thought.
That is just a target.
The supreme, unwavering, resolute conviction
Becoming Akshar-rup and a servant of God, with infinite crores of universes flying in his pores.
So that is just a target.
Taking care of the target is not considered self-reflection.
Self-reflection means one's own thought.
The target is for everyone.
So,
Is the target only for us or for everyone?
So, is something that is for everyone called self-reflection?
Huh?
Self-reflection means one's own thought.
Now, if that is my target, where am I right now?
And especially, what should one look at?
How incomplete it is.
First, let him see what is incomplete.
How much is incomplete in me?
And how much have I walked from that?
One who thinks like that is called a self-thinker.
Maharaj has thought the same way.
Is it not that the part of Maya is not getting mixed in?
Is it not that some deficiency is not coming into us?
What is plus and what is minus?
Does anything negative come?
He thinks about it day and night.
Does plus come or not?
He thinks about it day and night.
Goldsmith's shop.
Maharaj Saheb.
This is not easily understood, so he gives the example of a goldsmith's shop.
What does a goldsmith do with gold?
He removes it.
Nothing else.
Maharaj gave the example of what to do.
Does the goldsmith put it in you or take it out?
Who is the goldsmith?
Maya is the goldsmith.
Does Maya mix in us or take out?
Maya mixes and also removes the form of Brahman.
Then you are not paying attention.
Maya only removes.
Maya is what removes Maya, and if there is some Brahman-like feeling, it removes that too, and Maya mixes.
Maya removes and Maya also mixes.
If one takes the support of scriptures and saints, then Maya removes the impurities from it.
If one takes the support of the world and one's ego, then Maya mixes impurities in it.
Who removes or puts in?
Is the thought of the soul or of the supreme soul?
Maharaj says that in self-reflection, one part is the world and one part is God.
And the thought settles between the two.
Whose is that which settles?
It is the thought of the scriptures.
He has to make the thought of the scriptures his own.
He has to do it for his own purification.
Is the world not getting mixed in?
Is God not getting separated?
How much less God became upon hearing.
How much of the world's impurity got mixed in.
One should keep thinking about it day and night, that is Maharaj's self-reflection.
The example of a goldsmith's shop.
Goldsmiths also work at night.
And they would be tapping, tapping, tapping.
You might not have seen a goldsmith working.
Goldsmith's work.
He hits with a hammer.
Then he takes out one hand and hits with the other hand.
There is no change in the rhythm of the tapping.
So, there is no change in the rhythm of the tapping.
So, this Maya keeps doing it like that.
It keeps tapping.
The work of Maya is to.
To spoil those who are not careful.
Those who are careful.
To improve.
Even what improves, Maya improves.

One who keeps summing up his shortcomings improves.
And one who keeps summing up his sums, he spoils.
And if he does, it is Maya.
So Maya is sitting in the goldsmith's shop again.
If we keep summing up our own actions, saying 'I do this, I do that, I do this, I do that,' then it spoils.
What is wrong with me? What is wrong with me? What is wrong with me? Then it improves.
The example of a goldsmith's shop.
And Maharaj says the same thing.
If Maharaj has spoken, he can only do that, nothing else.
Maharaj has given a thick example of a goldsmith's shop.
He gave two or three examples, but that was just to get a certain part.
To become detached, to cultivate detachment in the world, like whom?
Like one who is about to die.
Like one who is about to die.
The king's son dies.
Such detachment.
When one cultivates detachment, one becomes pure from this.
And then when one connects with God, one becomes even purer.
Self-reflection means one's own thoughts.
One's own doesn't mean one's own idea.
Not one's own idea.
But one's own thought means one's own analysis.
Own analysis.
Maharaj said that when he mentions our limb, he is referring to our state.
What is our state?
To analyze that.
Keep doing it day and night.
And compare it with the target.
The target is like this.
How?
Becoming Brahmarup,
to please God,
to serve Him.
That is the target.
Now, one has to keep matching it and keep doing self-reflection.
Keep thinking about oneself.
Where have I reached and how much is left?
Am I moving forward or backward?
His own thought.
So, simply put, if one keeps removing one's own flaws, then
he is ahead.
And if he keeps looking at his positive points, then he is behind.
This is self-reflection.
In self-reflection, only this much is to be done, nothing else.
I am consciousness, and whatever I become, whatever I am, I will remain that way.
If I am conscious, then he will see.
He will stand up when the time comes.
So, there's no need to think too much about it, it's fine.
Keep the target set that Maharaj says this.
To become Brahmarup and serve God.
This is it.
This is it.
Huh?
Even a resolve, a resolve is subjective, relative.
A resolve for what?
A resolve for what?
Purity and impurity occur accordingly.
There is impurity of Maya, and all that is purity.
But more than that, one's own flaw, the impurity of Maya, does not increase in that.
But if one keeps analyzing one's own flaws and one's own positive points, and if one emphasizes the flaws more, then one progresses.
And if one emphasizes the positive points more, then one falls behind.
Yes.
Do you remember how impure it became?
Set a target.
What do we want to become first?
So, set a target.
We want to become servants of God.
We want to become a mahant.
We want to become something else, a boss.
So, set a target.
What do you want to become?
So, what kind of servant he is, Maharaj has said in addition, so he sets a target.
Now, how many flaws do I have?
If we find them.
What did Maharaj say? If one's own flaws are not visible, then
Take help.
What does 'saidi' mean?
Benchmarking.
Compare with someone.
Compare with someone, with whom?
Subtle satsang.
Compare with those who have moved ahead.
If one compares oneself with those who are behind, one falls into a pit.
If one compares oneself with those who are behind, one falls into a pit.
So, even if one's flaws are not visible, Maharaj has given a solution.
If it's not visible, then look like this.
If one's own flaws are not visible, then look like this.
Subtle.
Self-reflection means that's all we need to know.
What is self-reflection?
We have memorized that I am consciousness, and it won't get wet, it won't be cut, and so on.
Self-reflection means one's own thoughts.
Where am I?
And how much is left for me?
How much is my flaw considered?
If he thinks only that much, then he is ahead.
And if he thinks about where I am and where my positive points are, then he is behind.
This is in self-reflection.
It will work for him.
But no one can think about their flaws even in solitude.
He is so scared of his flaws.
Now, if I were to tell my flaws, I would be a little scared that my reputation would be ruined.
But even if he is sitting in solitude in the seventh netherworld, he cannot think about his flaws; he is scared.
Am I like this?
He sees his ugly form.
So he doesn't think about his flaws.
Thinking about one's flaws is one step above self-reflection.
Than self-reflection.
Maharaj says in this Vachanamrut, 'I am always engaged in it.'
They are engaged day and night. Let it be.
Think like this.
The subject expounded
The purity and impurity of a devotee's body. The main points are: how can our current state, which has emerged from within us, be purified and elevated to a higher state? How can our current state be spoiled and go down? Both are valid. Whose? One should constantly examine the purity of one's soul within one's heart.
Before death comes, one should contemplate the circumstances of death.
This Vachanamrut is about the process of purification.
When death comes, all the flaws come to the forefront.
The positive points do not come to the forefront.
If an ordinary person dies, do the sins he committed come to the forefront, or the good deeds he performed?
Huh?
First, sin.
Both come, but those stand behind.
Why?
Why should those stand behind?
Because those are powerful.
When one has committed a sin with force.
One has not put that much effort into doing good deeds.
So then those stand in front because they put so much effort into sinning and doing wrong, so all the wrongdoings come to the forefront.
Because whatever effort was put in, that much effort is in the other.
And if one puts effort into doing good, then that comes, but one doesn't put that much effort into doing good.
So.
So that comes before a person.
So when it comes before him, Maharaj thinks, 'If something is coming before him after some thought.'
If something comes before him by showing him a trick, then this.
This Vachanamrut is about the process of purification.
Old saints refer to the Vachanamrut of the goldsmith's shop.
In the goldsmith's shop, Maharaj says that both the processes of purification and impurity are ongoing.
If one is not careful, the goldsmith mixes impurities right in front of them.
That is why in Sanskrit literature, the goldsmith is mocked by calling him 'pashyato harah,' meaning 'one who steals in plain sight.'
Pashyato hare.
He steals before one's eyes.
Those thieves, they all steal by hiding.
And they steal when the owner is not there.
Here, his owner is sitting there, watching, and he steals right there, sitting pressed against him.
So this Maya-like goldsmith is even more clever than that.
So, the example of the goldsmith.
That he watches, doing whatever he does, and the other one steals.
The purification process of gold is also possible only in its lineage.
Can we do it at home?
No one can do it.
The purification of the soul happens only if that goldsmith does it.
Maya does it.
So, in Maya, such thoughts, all thoughts are of Maya, so if one thinks positively, then one's purification happens.
And if one thinks negatively, then one's impurity happens.
All thoughts are of Maya.
Thus, Maharaj has called the heart the goldsmith's shop.
Thus, Maharaj has called the heart the goldsmith's shop.
Said twice.
The Maya-like goldsmith works in it.
The hammers of resolution and indecision are continuously striking.
There is a big difference between the hammer of a blacksmith and the hammer used by a goldsmith when making gold leaf from gold.
The goldsmith's hand changes, but the taps of the hammer.
there is no difference.
So Maharaj says that it constantly keeps touching and tapping.
Similarly, the thoughts of body-consciousness keep arising constantly.
That is why it is said in the scriptures that
They steal the jewels of knowledge, therefore, be awake, be awake.
In this Vachanamrut, Maharaj also tells devotees to maintain constant vigilance, that if one's attention wavers even slightly, the goldsmith immediately takes out the gold.
And to maintain the weight balance, he mixes silver or copper.
By doing this daily, they have mastered it.
Similarly, no matter how much spiritual practice a devotee does or has done, if even a little carelessness is indulged in, all of it is wasted.
The scriptures tell stories of great personalities like Parashar, Saubhari, Bharatji, Naradji, etc., whose lifelong spiritual practices were overturned by a little carelessness.
Therefore, a spiritual seeker should be vigilant. Someone else's theft is quickly caught, but a goldsmith's theft is not. If there is a suspicion that he has committed theft, then one has to go to the goldsmith himself to get proof. Look, you have mixed silver. So, from whom should we get the proof? We ourselves prove that I increased. I decreased. We have to prove it ourselves.
If there is a suspicion that he has committed theft, then one has to go to the goldsmith himself to get proof.
So what can we do?
He says that no theft has occurred, the gold is pure.
Similarly, the senses and the inner self are defilers.
One has to get purification done by him again, so a lot of vigilance has to be maintained.
One whose soul awakens, self-reflection means one's own thoughts.
To oneself
How much loss is considered?
If it is not visible, then take the biggest witness.
How much loss is considered in me for that to happen?
And he knows what the plus points are.
That's good, brother, let's go, that much is going on to please Maharaj.
Then it is said that he has grasped self-reflection.
And if that thought comes to hand, then it becomes pure.
Tell him, tell him.
If the thought comes that his plus keeps coming in the sum, then it decreases.
The goldsmith purifies and also defiles, both times.
Without going to him, there is no purification or defilement.
Such is the thought.
What kind of thoughts do we have and what is our attitude?
Thought means attitude.
Behavior is based on that attitude.
If our attitude is self-centered, then it is not someone else's attitude. Our attitude should be centered on Maharaj, meaning Maharaj-centered. It should be convenient for Maharaj or others, for Maharaj.
Maya is the goldsmith.
What does it put in and what does it take out?
The three gunas, lust, anger, etc., selfishness, deceit, envy, jealousy - these are mixed in.
It mixes all that.
It takes out.
These are called the eight qualities of the soul, meaning they remove the qualities of the soul.
These are the inherent qualities of the soul.
They are not external.
It removes them.
Say, freedom from old age, freedom from death, freedom from sorrow, freedom from hunger and thirst.
These are all its inherent qualities, that it does not have them within itself.
It just throws them away.
That you are like this.
You are great.
It's not an insult to you.
That should not happen.
Then he believes it.
He puts it in.
He takes it out, both times he takes it out.
It's a thought.
The thought of purifying the soul is the perspective of the goldsmith's shop.
Purify the soul.
Self-awakening.
First, the seeker doesn't even grasp what self-awakening means.
What is self-awakening called?
As if we are thinking about consciousness, self-awakening.
Self-awakening means to oneself.
One's own awakening means whether one has increased or decreased.
If one is walking on the path of God, then one should investigate the path of God.
If it is the path of the world, then on the path of the world.
Did he increase or decrease anything?
The householder keeps the balance in such a way.
Whether our balance has increased in the bank or not.
Oh, then there is no balance.
So they don't take care of that balance.
Self-reflection means to think about oneself.
One should think about oneself from God's perspective.
If there is a flaw, one should pay main attention to it.
That it has not come because it does not need to be invited.
Where should one be careful?
That unknowingly, some good quality will enter me, that happens.
Unknowingly, if we don't want it, a quality will enter, that happens.
And unknowingly, a flaw can enter, that happens.
If one pays attention, a flaw can enter.
No matter how much attention one pays, a quality will come if it's meant to, otherwise it won't.
So, caution is what we often say, the negative is the main thing.
If someone says, pointing from outside, "Is Yogeshwar Swami here?" then there are two answers.
One is yes, and the other is no.
If you want to say yes, then it's fine.
It's immediately found, right before my eyes.
If you want to say no, you have to check every corner carefully, to see if they haven't hidden somewhere.
After that, after checking the entire hall, it is known that this is not it.
So, to say no, one needs to check everywhere, meaning to find a flaw, one needs to check thoroughly.
And if you want to choose the positive points, then there is no need for a thorough check; once it's done, you can just say it.
So, finding flaws is very difficult.
To find flaws, one has to thoroughly examine one's own soul.
Now, we don't have that spiritual vision.
But there is one perspective.
That from the time we were born and became understanding until now, if we look, it comes into our hands.
Whether we have more minus points or more plus points.
So, one's life is self-reflected.
And from that, one has to start removing the weak things, that is self-reflection.
Only then can one become like the soul; otherwise, one cannot become like the soul.
