So, one should read those scriptures along with their commentaries.
One should memorize them along with their commentaries.
Then he will be free from debt.
And that is in the beginning.
Not later.
Later, if one delves deep into the commentaries, what good will it do him?
It is said to others.
Bread.
It is useful for making bread and for others to eat quickly.
It does not come to oneself.
If it is the beginning, it comes to oneself.
The characteristics of the fourth are meanings, dharma.
What is its meaning?
It inspires.
The conduct that gives high inspiration is called dharma.
Others, good people, should get inspiration from it.
In our life, from our conduct.
Then we would have performed dharma.
If good people feel aversion to it, it cannot be called dharma.
Detachment.
Detachment is known as disinterest in all things related to Shri Krishna.
Knowledge.
And knowledge of the jiva.
What is the nature of detachment?
Absence of the world.
Absence.
We said that in the other one yesterday.
Indifference.
There should be indifference.
There should be indifference to the world.
That is, all the five senses of the world, relatives, all the places where one gets attached to the world, one should be indifferent to them.
One should be indifferent to it.
One should not have respect for it in one's heart.
Then it is called detachment.
And if one cultivates it in the beginning, it happens.
Then he doesn't do it.
Then he finds excuses in it, saying that this was said like this, but this happens like this, this happens like this.
If he develops it in the beginning, it happens.
Knowledge is the clear understanding of the jiva, maya, and Ishvara.
To measure.
Power, capacity.
The capacity to measure that this element, this substance, this person is so much, is called knowledge.
Knowledge of greatness.
He doesn't recognize people.
And gets cheated.
Then it cannot be said that he has attained knowledge.
He is not deceived by anyone.
It is written in the scriptures that one who attains true knowledge is not suppressed even by the shadow of Akshar.
He is not suppressed even by the shadow of Akshardham.
Otherwise, there is a lot of opulence in Akshardham.
So, if he becomes engrossed in opulence, then what?
Then he is said to be suppressed.
So, knowledge is said to be attained when one does not come under the shadow of anyone else except God.
He serves everyone.
It's not that if one doesn't come under the shadow, one shouldn't serve.
He serves the devotees of God.
But he should not have any sense of superiority towards anyone.
Except God.
Bhakti is the great knowledge, the abundant love for Madhava.
What is considered the body of devotion in that?
Love, devotion, samadhi.
Love for God is called devotion.
Then the knowledge of greatness is for its protection.
It is not found anywhere else.
Form.
The nature of dharma.
Rule is the nature of dharma.
Form means its body, its form.
There should be adherence to rules or commendable conduct.
The value of commendable conduct has been given in the Shruti texts.
What is the opposite of commendable called?
Condemnable conduct is criticized.
Therefore, a person should engage in commendable conduct.
So, commendable conduct is its body, its form.
If one talks a lot but doesn't practice, then.
Being free from attachment to worldly objects is the nature of detachment.
There should be tranquility with respect to worldly objects.
To truly know the opposing substance is the nature of knowledge.
It is recognized.
True recognition happens.
It is called ignorance.
Then, whether it's a person or a subject, or anything else, an object, its identification should be as it is.
Then it is called knowledge.
There should be no deception.
What is the meaning of identification?
One should not fall into deception.
Attachment to one's chosen deity is the form of devotion, or surrender to the chosen deity is the embodied form of devotion.
If there is surrender, it is called devotion.
See how much it happens.
The limit, the climax.
If it develops, how far can it go?
Urdhvareta Nishkam is the deadline.
Achieving the state of Urdhvareta Nishkam, or in the language of yoga, gaining virya (spiritual energy), is its limit.
Similarly, the attainment of all five other vows is also a limit.
The mind should not dwell anywhere in the actions of Prakriti and Purusha.
Not having even an iota of affection for anything other than the feet of God is the limit of detachment.
Considering only God as great, and not considering anything else as great, is the limit of knowledge.
There is no limit to devotion; if one were to count, one could say devotion like that of the Gopis.
There is no limit to devotion.
To do only this much devotion is endless.
It is called endless.
It has no limit.
No one's devotion can be said to be complete, like, 'my devotion is finished,' that's not it.
Devotion is endless.
Fruit.
To remain happy in this body and to remain happy in this world and the next is the fruit of dharma.
Dharma is detachment and dharma is happiness.
It is said so in the Ramayana.
The fruit of dharma is happiness.
And the fruit of dharma is also detachment.
When does detachment occur?
If not taken in happiness.
If one does not accept happiness, then detachment occurs.
And if one accepts happiness, one becomes happy.
But dharma has two fruits.
As dharma matures, detachment comes.
And as detachment increases, one's knowledge matures.
And as knowledge matures, one's devotion increases.
This is the sequence.
To remain happy in this body and to remain happy in this world and the next is the fruit of dharma.
To keep knowledge, detachment, etc., safe is the fruit of dharma.
Even if one attains worldly objects, not becoming attached to them, not becoming weak, is the fruit of detachment.
That is the fruit of detachment.
If we have taken vows and they get disrupted, and then something comes up and we become weak, then what does that mean?
There is a deficiency of detachment.
If there is strong detachment, one does not become weak.
Whatever rules we have, or renunciations we have to make, one should not become weak in them.
One should not be swayed by bodily emotions, nor fall into anyone's trap until Akshar.
To have love for God, along with His greatness, is the fruit of knowledge.
One should not fall into anyone else's trap and should not be swayed by bodily emotions.
If one doesn't fall into anyone else's trap, that's fine, but if one is swayed by bodily emotions, it's not called knowledge.
It is a state of ignorance; first, one should not be swayed by bodily emotions.
And not fall into anyone else's trap.
God Himself becomes submissive, becomes obedient; that is the fruit of devotion.
Causes of origin.
The first hearing of Shruti and Smriti, which are in the form of rituals and injunctions/prohibitions, is the cause of the rise of dharma.
True knowledge of the nature of time, contemplation of dissolution, feeling a sting, experiencing sorrow, seeing flaws in all objects—these are the causes of the origin of detachment.
Listening to Vedanta from the mouth of a Shrotriya and Brahm-nishtha Sadguru, satsang with a devout attitude.
In time, one finds the self.
These are the causes of the origin of knowledge.
Knowledge does not arise suddenly; it will arise over time.
It will happen gradually.
Knowledge and dharma, they are gradual.
And detachment.
Renunciation and devotion come by jumping.
In the morning, they sleep, then wake up and run away with their bags, so this is not something that can be done.
So, renunciation and devotion do not come into it.
Oh, devotion is also present.
Knowledge is not something that you can just pick up your bag and leave, and then you have knowledge.
It's not like that.
Knowledge is something that one strives for throughout life, and dharma is achieved only when one observes daily rules throughout life.
These two come by jumping.
Lord Swaminarayan said, what is the reason for the rise of renunciation?
If you feel a pinch, you will experience renunciation.
One truly knows the ways of God's incarnations, His divine powers, and His abodes.
One listens to the divine narratives of the incarnations with love.
One listens to and contemplates scriptures like the Bhagavat with faith.
If one listens to miracles, wonders, etc., with a devout attitude, with faith, then devotion arises.
Work.
To uphold, preserve, and not let it spoil is the work of dharma.
To stop one from going towards the world is the work of renunciation.
To increase the eagerness to connect with God is the work of knowledge.
To experience waves of joy, to immerse oneself in the divine emotions of God, that is the work of devotion.
Ideal examples.
Yudhishthira, Bhayatmanand Swami, Mayaram Bhatt are ideal examples of dharma.
Nishkulanand Swami, Adbhutanand Swami, Gunatitanand Swami, Jadbharat are ideal examples of renunciation.
King Janak had knowledge in renunciation.
Gopalanand Swami, King Janak, Shukdevji are ideal examples of knowledge.
Gopis, Premanand Swami, Sachchidanand Swami are ideal examples of devotion.
Limitations.
Limitation.
All these are virtues, but still, not all of them are complete.
So there are some limitations.
If one does not pay attention to the limitations, then its flaws will appear in it.
What is the limitation?
Through dharma, one cannot progress beyond the realm of Brahma.
Yes, so it doesn't go beyond that.
Then, he expects everything from it, thinking that if he follows dharma, everything will be over.
It's not like that; only this much work can be done with it.
Renunciation is disappointment with the world.
Along with making one detached and indifferent.
It also creates such a state for God with His devotees.
So, to be detached from the world means that one also becomes detached from God's devotee, so that is what happens to him.
There is a limitation.
One should not become detached from God's devotee.
Due to the power of glory, laxity comes into dharma, and its sting does not remain.
If there is knowledge, then in the rules, he will not be very much.
It becomes loose.
Due to the nature of attachment, one quickly gets attached to the world; it is a slippery path.
If it sticks to God, it will stick here too.
So, that is called its limitation.
Other features.
In dharma, faith and trust are paramount.
If there is no faith in dharma.
In the injunctions and prohibitions, the scriptures say that after death, one has to suffer such pain. If one does not believe in the punishment of Yama, then his.
It only happens if there is trust.
In renunciation, indifference and the insignificance of the world are paramount.
In knowledge, thought and discretion are paramount.
In devotion, emotion and glory are paramount.
Analogies, comparisons.
Analogy of medicine.
Dharma is the medicine for joints.
It joins, right?
Plaster of Paris.
When plaster of Paris is applied, it means a bone has been broken.
So, what does dharma mend?
What happens if you miss a rule?
One becomes pure by performing penance.
When he performs penance, it means he has been mended, that is, we have missed the rule, and penance has been done.
So, dharma is plaster of Paris.
Renunciation is a medicine that removes arrows (of worldly desires).
Knowledge is a wound-healing medicine.
In ancient times, when a thorn pricked.
If it was very deep, then they would put the top of the Akada plant on it.
So, if it was placed in the morning and evening, the thorn would come out in the morning.
It is called Vishalya Karani. It is called Vishalya Karani.
Vishalya Karani means if it descends into the owner, then all those others come out.
If the milk of the Calotropis plant goes inside, the thorn comes out.
Similarly, if detachment descends within, then the world automatically starts to leave me.
So it is called Vishalya Karani.
Knowledge is a wound-healing medicine.
Vishalya Karani, make its compound, brother.
Vishalya Karani.
The meaning of studying is that one should gain knowledge of words.
One should know how to break down words.
There are two ways to break it, three ways.
Firstly, if you separate the sandhi, it breaks.
Then, if you make a compound, it breaks.
And then, if you do etymology, it breaks, in three ways.
So, one should have three types of knowledge.
One should have knowledge of compounds.
And one should have knowledge of etymology.
And one should know sandhi.
Ak Savarne Dirgha.
Like that.
Like that.
So, you tell me, brother, Vishalya Karani.
Vigataha shalya kartri iti vishalya karani.
Vishalya, like that.
Shalya means, what does shalya mean? A spear, a spear.
The head of a spear is called shalya.
If the spears of worldly pleasures have entered inside, it removes them.
So, Vishalya Karani.
Vishalyam karoti iti vishalya.
And vigataha shalyaha iti vishalyaha.
It removes the shalya.
Knowledge is a wound-healing medicine.
That wound-healing.
Vrana means a wound, a wound.
It heals the wound.
If there is knowledge, all wounds heal.
All the past heals.
If one gains knowledge of God, their past heals.
Bhakti is a life-restoring medicine.
It is Sanjivani.
So, even if someone is dead, they get up.
If he develops affection for God, then no matter how fallen or degraded he may be, he will rise again.
Ajamel was completely lost.
Yet, he developed affection for God, he became liberated, his body became liberated.
So it is called Vishalya Karani.
That is called Sanjivani.
So, it revives the dead.
That happens through devotion.
It doesn't happen otherwise.
Analogy of farming.
Dharma is a fence.
Detachment is weeding, hoeing, etc., maintenance.
Those with detachment are always weeding, aren't they?
Knowledge is in the place of plowing.
Bhakti is sowing.
God is its fruit.
Analogy of cooking ingredients.
All these examples, all these similes and metaphors are given, from which the principle should be derived.
That I made him happy.
I, these Swamijis, are learning figures of speech.
But then everyone throws it behind.
Don't keep it forward.
Dharma is in the place of fire's heat.
Detachment is in the place of flour.
It's dry, isn't it?
Knowledge is in the place of ghee.
And devotion, it's written incorrectly in it, but.
It is in the place of sweets. It is in the place of sweets.
Analogy of decorative items.
Dharma is in the place of clothes.
Detachment is in the place of jewelry.
Nishkulanand Swami has called it jewelry, hasn't he?
Detachment is a priceless ornament, he has said so.
It is such an ornament whose value cannot be estimated.
So, wear it.
Sadhus cannot wear it.
Or not.
Navikal Bhagat.
Can sadhus wear jewelry?
Swamiji, what do you say?
Can sadhus wear jewelry?
Wear the ornament of detachment.
Don't let them wear that.
Knowledge is in place of physical health.
Devotion is in place of a beautiful woman.
From the perspective of literary taste,
