Then he himself went to Gujarat and stayed two nights in Dabhan, with the company of sadhus.

Returning, the Lord came to Vartal.

There Hari stayed with all the sadhus, performing divine acts and giving much happiness.

He stayed there five nights, then came from there to Budhej.

From there the all-capable Swami set out and came to the greatly renowned Bochasan.

At Bamangam and Ekalbara, he went as far as Sarasvani's edge.

Going to the village outskirts he turned back, and came to Vartal to meet the sadhus.

From there he went on to Umreth, where the sight of him gave great joy.

Shyam arrived to the sound of music, and the whole village came out to welcome him.

He gave the devotees the gift of his darshan, and after staying the night Bhagwan moved on.

The people of the village had great devotion, and all came together to the outskirts.

The compassionate one gave them darshan and, doing good for them, the gracious one moved on.

There he was given a meal, and the compassionate one ate as was fitting.

Then he came to Dadusar village, and rested at Kathlal.

He went to the Mahadev at Antaroli-Untadiya; there the God of gods arrived.

There he had darshan of Shiva, and gave garments to all the attendants.

He gave a handful of rupees, then Hari set out from there.

He came to Luvang-Salaki village, then Shyam came to Prantiya.

From there Shyam Sundar set out and came to Valamji Vijapur.

From there Gopal went by Gerita and the compassionate one came to Visnagar.

There he had many Brahmins fed, preparing sweets of sugar-crystal.

From there he went to Unjha and Mehsana, where he insisted on feeding the people.

Then the Lord came to Karjisan; his companion the Sankhyayogi was with him.

Then Maharaj came to Motera and called the satsangis of the city.

From there he went to Jetalpur, and the joy in people's hearts increased.

Thus Hari went about to every village, doing the work of his own devotees.

He wandered through every land for the sake of his devotees, then entered Panchala.

There he gave the devotees darshan, and having met the Lord they were made fulfilled.

Then the month of Fagan arrived, and there was eagerness to play Holi.

The devotees were called there, and ten or twenty sadhus also came.

Then a fine company was brought together, with saffron color for playing, and much oil, perfume, and gulal — the arrangements were made without stinting.

The companions stood ready and waited only until Jivan had eaten.

When Jivan had finished eating, the people came and surrounded him.

They brought color, fine color, and gulal, and surrounded the beloved one in the house.

Color was sprinkled and splashed abundantly, and a great crowd of gulal rose up.

The colorful, playful one was dyed in color, and became drenched and radiant.

Then the Lord said, listen, ask for your Fagva gift and we shall give it.

Hearing the charming one speak thus, the people were delighted.

They said: we shall indeed ask, Maharaj, grant it being pleased, O King.

Then the King said, we are pleased, ask what your heart desires and we shall give it.

Then the people spoke, joining their hands: this is what we ask of you, Lord.

Your maya is exceedingly powerful, by which it has enveloped men and women.

Grant us this boon, that this maya may not overtake us.

Also, let human intellect never come upon us regarding you.

Whatever divine acts you perform, let us understand them as extraordinary and transcendent.

Let those who are called your satsangis never fall out of regard in our eyes.

Through place, time, and action, may we never forget you, Hari.

May desire, anger, greed, evil intellect, and delusion never overtake our minds and turn them away.

Whatever obstacle would come between us and devotion to you, we ask that it not hinder us.

This much we ask; grant it to us, Hari, out of compassion.

And what we do not ask, you yourself, Hari, having heard, grant that too.

Never give us body-consciousness, by which we would forget God.

Never let us fall into bad company; save us from irreligion.

Never give us worldly happiness in place of you; never give us aversion to dwelling with you.

Never give us worldly greatness, or pride, envy, or jealousy.

Never give us attachment to bodily pleasure; never give us separation from your devotees.

Never give us contempt for your devotees; never give us an egotistic nature.

Never give us the company of atheists who abandon you and worship mere action.

We do not ask for these things; grant us your compassion instead.

Then Shyamsundar spoke: go, this boon is granted to you.

You shall not be confounded by my maya; you shall not be bound by the body and such things.

No fault shall be found in my actions; you shall always understand me as faultless.

Having said this, he was delighted, and all took it as true and accepted his words.

He gave the devotees such gifts of Fagva — who else is capable of giving thus?

So they played Holi filled with color, the devotees of Hari together with Hari.

Having become drenched and colorful, the compassionate Lord said, let us go bathe.

Then he himself mounted his horse, and countless companions went along.

Singing and talking, the Lord went to bathe, performing divine acts as they bathed there.

Having bathed, Hari walked along with his companions, their bodies filled with great joy.

Two sadhus came and the Lord called them, saying, tell us what gift you have brought for us.

The sadhus said, we have brought garlands of flowers.

The Lord said, come, bring them this time.

Then he dismounted from his horse, and the sadhus made floral decorations.

They placed garlands of flowers around his neck, and tied them on his arms, which shone greatly.

They made floral bouquets and clusters, and placed a cluster of flowers at his ear.

On his arms they placed floral bracelets and bangles — thus they adorned him with flowers.

Then incense and lamps were offered in arti, and with joined hands they made supplication.

They performed worship and touched his feet; gazing at Hari they could not be satisfied.

The dark, charming one shone exceedingly, his form enchanting and beautiful.

The people gazed at him with full eyes, and seeing Jivan they became delighted.

His own devotees cried victory, victory — they had received happiness from the Immortal One.

Shyam performed such extraordinary divine play, gracing the beautiful village of Sarangpur.

Know that this fine gathering took place on the full moon of Fagan Sud.

On that day the Lord performed this divine play, and then gave everyone his parting instruction.

Thus, in the Bhaktachintamani composed by Nishkulanand Muni, disciple of Shri Sahajanand Swami, propagator of the glorious Ekantik Dharma, in the account of Shri Hari — the chapter titled 'Maharaj arrived at Sarangpur' — the sixty-fourth chapter.
