Then Prabhuji himself went into the land of Gujarat, and, having performed his divine play throughout Gujarat, entered Panchal. He showed compassion to the satsangis of Sorath and Halar, giving darshan to all of them.

The compassionate one holds boundless compassion for his servants in his heart; know that he has bestowed upon his own devotees the wealth of true happiness. Those who perform japa, austerity, and pilgrimage, upon whom yogis cannot even fix their meditation — he comes walking himself to their very homes, showing mercy, the merciful one.

He wanders, purifying the earth, seen by people whether they recognize him or not; the world, beholding him with wonder, worships him whether knowingly or unknowingly. Whoever beholds him or touches him has their misdeeds destroyed, their sins destroyed; remembering this Hari, all have become purified themselves.

Thieves and robbers grew fearful of him, and sinners suffered distress; men and thieves grew afraid, and the wicked all suffered pain. He himself, manifest, brought about a golden age within this age of Kali; he recognizes his own people, but does not recognize the false and deceitful.

Through food, drink, and clothing, everyone became greatly happy — this is Maharaj's own glory, which everyone recognizes as manifest. The complete and perfect Purushottam appeared manifest to redeem countless souls; with compassion he wanders through the land, accomplishing the affairs of his own people.

In whatever land his devotees lived, worshipping God, he sought out their villages himself, and gave them the gift of his darshan. Then, coming to Panchal, taking his companions with him, mounted on horseback, Nath came into Gujarat, to Dabhan.

He gave darshan to his devotees, the compassionate one showing compassion; to give happiness to the sadhus, he came there himself, Hari. Hearing this, all the satsangis came at once, seating their elderly and children in carriages, carts, and wagons.

Beholding Nath with their eyes, their hearts rejoiced greatly; happiness filled their inner being upon seeing the enchanting one's face. Then, with folded hands before Hari, they made entreaty again and again: "Lord, you have graciously come — you have taken care of us."

Then they worshipped the Lord, applying abundant sandalwood; they placed garlands of flowers upon him, and made floral ornaments for him. They offered beautiful garments and ornaments to the charming one, performing incense, lamp, and arti, and fell at the feet of the charming, delightful one.

They fed the giver of life a fine variety of dishes; Bhudhar (the Lord) ate with love, to please his devotees. Then a swing was tied at the doorway, beautifully arranged beneath a fine banyan tree; there Nathji sat, and the people, beholding him, made gestures of adoration, waving their hands over their heads in reverence.

Thus, giving darshan for some days, he increased this fresh bond of love; then, having given everyone final instruction, he himself also set off. He would go and come to all the regions, but stayed mostly in Panchal, performing his divine play to give happiness to his own people.

Children, youths, the aged, men and women alike — paying no heed to worldly matters, all sang the praises of Hari's qualities. Then one day Nath said, "Let all the satsangis be informed: we shall come to Vautha; you too come there."

In the fine and pleasing month of Kartik, on the full-moon day of the bright half — the people had gathered ahead of time, and he himself came at the appointed time. He came from the western region, staying two days at Budhej; then the Beloved, mounted on horseback, came to Vautha.

At evening time, Shri Hari, Prabhuji himself arrived, giving darshan to his devotees, removing their afflictions. Then he moved among the gathering, giving darshan; lakhs of people took the opportunity, gazing at him with eyes full.

Then, coming to his lodging, he had a fine place made ready; he divided the satsangis from those of other, mixed company. Then he himself sat upon the carriage, the Beloved, and the satsangis and all the sadhus sat together, the assembly of munis.

All the satsangis said, "Give us your permission, compassionate one — let us, for your sake, have a fine meal prepared." "Give us your permission — let us prepare food for the sadhus." Then Maharaj said, "Very well — let everyone prepare it."

Then, at that time, he partook of the meal, fine puris and excellent preparations; bright white rice and superior dal, and finely fried vegetables. Having eaten, the giver of life then rested, taking his repose upon the carriage; gazing upon the Lord of the people, all four watches of the night passed by.

Then, in the morning, the Lord awoke, and Nath went to bathe; keeping the women's group separate, he took all his companions with him. Having bathed, Nath returned, mounted on horseback, going through the village; he gave a robe of honor to a servant, and paid respects at a Shiva shrine.

Then he came to his lodging, the compassionate one, with drums sounding; he came and sat beneath a tree, then bathed and went to eat. Hari ate in the proper manner, seated fittingly upon his seat; then, taking all the plates, he gave the consecrated food to his devotees.

Thus, performing such extraordinary divine play at Vautha, the Beloved then gave everyone final instruction: "Sadhus, go now and wander, forming your companies." Then he himself set off, having accomplished this great undertaking indeed; whoever has beheld the Lord shall never again fall into the hand of Death.
