Commentary

Now, it is said to worship certain deities on the occasion of certain months and tithis.

Bhadra Shukla here is a specific time.

Since one has taken refuge in Lord Shri Krishna, even without any other desire, when the fourth day of Bhadarva arrives, one should worship Lord Ganapati according to the prescribed rituals.

In this, to teach everyone, the general subject has also been definitely stated as a duty to the Acharya.

Whatever is said to be essential for the Acharya becomes mandatory for everyone else as well.

If someone doubts why a devotee who has taken refuge in Lord Shri Krishna alone should worship other deities?

Regarding that, Shri Hari says that you are speaking the truth.

We have not prescribed the direct worship of those specific deities.

Among all deities, only Paramatma Purushottam Shri Krishna is directly worshipable.

This command also states that Shri Krishna, who is the sustainer and controller residing in the form of the indweller in those deities whose bodies they are, is to be worshipped on those specific occasions.

If it were not so, then the liberation-seeking devotees devoted to Shri Krishna, who offer arghya and other things to the sun and other deities, would not need to perform that worship.

And performing worship is also not appropriate.

The three-fold sandhya has to be performed by the twice-born. We don't do anything, but the three-fold sandhya.

Even if one becomes a Hari-bhakta, many Brahmins still perform it.

So, even if there is worship of the sun in it, it doesn't become an act of relying on another deity.

If there are Vedic deities and one worships them according to the prescribed time, it is considered as worshipping God.

And by worshipping God, it is said that God's glory is increased.

All these deities are His manifestations, so by honoring them, God is honored.

Therefore, if it is believed that way, then for Brahmins, the destruction of Sandhya-vandana and other rituals would occur.

That deity whose body is Paramatma, one should not believe in any other deity.

Then the dharma of all varnas would disappear.

And the Vedic dharma would disappear.

If the Vedic dharma disappears, then the Swaminarayan dharma would also disappear.

It cannot happen that the Vedic dharma is lost and the Swaminarayan dharma remains.

Because the commands given by Maharaj have their origin in the Vedas.

Therefore, if it is believed that way, then for Brahmins, the destruction of Sandhya-vandana and other rituals would occur.

That deity whose body is Paramatma is the one worshipable.

Therefore, on the fourth day of Bhadarva, as mentioned, Ganapati is also the body of Paramatma Shri Krishna, and thus he is worshipable.

Believing this, the liberation-seeking devotees of Lord Shri Krishna

On the day of Ganesh Chauth, on that one day, the worship of Ganapati is performed with Tulsi leaves.

Tulsi leaves are not offered to any deity other than God.

But on Ganesh Chauth, one can worship him with Tulsi leaves, so on that day, he is considered an incarnation of Shri Krishna.

On his birthday.

Believing this, it is appropriate for the mumukshu devotees of Shri Krishna Bhagwan to worship Ganapati Dev.

Therefore, it should be understood that there is a rule to worship Ganapati Dev, just like any other occasion.

Since he is a form of the body of Paramatma, worshipping him is not inappropriate; that is the meaning.

Regarding this, some also say that the statement about worshipping Ganapati Dev is not given in the form of a ritual.

However, if someone says that the ekantik devotees and mumukshus of Shri Krishna should not observe the fast of Ganesh Chauth, then this statement is merely for the removal of doubt, for consent and permission.

For example, after performing the homa of fat from animals, one should eat the food of the initiated.

Like this sentence, the meaning is in consent. The meaning in consent is that if someone wants to do it, there is no refusal.

Such is the second option, meaning for the exclusive devotees.

He gave this convenient option that if someone wants to do it, there is no refusal.

If you don't want to do it, it's not a penance.

But for Acharya Maharaj, it is considered mandatory.

That is because he is the representative of all the Maharajs.

Like this sentence, the meaning is in consent.

Since he is of God, there is consent to worship him.

On the fourteenth day of Aso Vad, special worship of Hanumanji should be performed.

According to the belief of the Purnima month, Kartik Vad, as per Gujarat, Hanumanji's birth is on Aso Vad Chaudas, such statements should be understood correctly.

In Gujarat, the month is counted from Padva to Amas.

And among the Marwaris and in the South, the month is counted from Purnima to Purnima. So if that month is counted, then the dark fortnight comes first.

So if that month is counted, then the dark fortnight comes first.

So the month of Kartik started from Sharad Purnima.

So the Vadhi fortnight comes first, meaning Hanumanji's Chaudas comes first.

But it comes that the month is considered Kartik month.

Such things exist elsewhere, but it seems Maharaj said it according to Gujarat's calculations.

Shri Krishna Chaturdashi.

Verse number 128.

For the protection of the dharma of all who have taken refuge in me,

And by those two, established as gurus, the mumukshus should be initiated.

And all the satsangis who are dependent on us, for the purpose of protecting their dharma, those whom we have established as gurus for all of them, namely Ayodhyaprasad and Raghuveer, they should give diksha to the mumukshu people.

The men and women who are dependent on me, and

Now, the dharma that comes is related to the entire satsang, keeping the whole satsang in mind.

Some of the initial dharmas were related to one's personal self.

Then family dharma.

Then Vedic, it has certain duties for the sake of Vedic dharma.

And now, what comes are the dharmas related to all satsangis, of Maharaj Shri.

That is, their own responsibility towards the satsangis.

And their own responsibility towards the satsang.

Maharaj says that here.

So, Maharaj's executive power is.

That now begins.

The duties that support Maharaj's vision and mission have now begun.

My nephews, whom I have established as acharyas for the protection of the dharma of all the men and women who are dependent on me, and for the dharma including the devotion taught to them, should give diksha to the men of all four varnas who have taken refuge in them and desire moksha from the world.

Maharaj said in the 21st Vachanamrut of Antya that the incarnations of God occur for the establishment of dharma.

And the fruit of devotion is the attainment of God's abode.

So God has dharma

He should not come for the establishment of this, in fact,

He should come for the establishment of devotion.

Then Maharaj avoided its contradiction.

After avoiding the contradiction, what decision did Maharaj give?

Nourishment of Bhagavat Dharma

For the establishment of Bhagavat Dharma, God comes to earth.

God does not come to earth merely for the establishment of the Varnashrama Dharma.

Maharaj wrote here that for the protection of Dharma.

So, Maharaj himself came to protect the Ekantik Dharma.

And after Maharaj went to Dham, Maharaj told his heir sons that all of you have to protect the Ekantik Dharma of the Satsangis.

Protecting worldly affairs is not enough.

Protect the Ekantik Dharma.

Maharaj gave them the worldly affairs as well.

But to protect the Ekantik Dharma, Maharaj clearly wrote, look,

That for the protection of Dharma.

Of all those who have taken refuge in me,

For the protection of Dharma,

Those who are established in the position of Guru, they should be given initiation.

The Ekantik Dharma, all our devotees,

Their Ekantik Dharma is,

The Dharma to please Maharaj is the Bhagavat Dharma.

This place is for its protection.

And we have appointed you to that position.

You have been appointed.

So your first task, the very first task, is this.

Spiritual work.

The main responsibility of Acharya Maharaj is to maintain spirituality.

Not superficially, but to establish it in everyone's heart.

So, if one wants to establish spirituality in the hearts of others, then one must first follow it oneself.

And insist on it. Insist among his followers that all of you also follow this Dharma.

Shows.

The definition of Acharya is made like that, isn't it?

That he himself practices from these signs, selects the highest Dharma from the scriptures.

He practices it himself and propagates it among his followers.

He highlights it, encourages it, motivates it. If he does that, then he can do it.

Can do it.

If a small person wants to do it, he cannot.

During the Mahabharata, Dharmaraja had two incarnations.

One was Yudhishthira Maharaja and the other was Vidurji.

Vidurji also left his duty of Dharma and came here.

The throne of Dharma was the incarnation of Yamaraja.

And Dharmaraja Yudhishthira Maharaja also came as Dharmaraja.

But when Lord Shri Krishna wanted to propagate the Bhagavat Dharma on earth, whom did he select?

He did not select Yudhishthira, nor Vidurji.

Otherwise, if one wants to ask Yudhishthira, one has to go and ask Vidurji.

If Yudhishthira takes advice, who does he take it from? From whom? He takes advice from Vidur Kaka.

That Vidur Kaka says it's correct.

He takes his advice, but still Lord Shri Krishna chose Yudhishthira.

Vidura never spoke, Yudhishthira sometimes spoke.

But still, that place is such that its establishment happens there.

Whenever there is a decline in Dharma, O Bharata,

So, the vow that God had made, that I want to establish Dharma, for that, a place is also needed, a platform is also needed.

So Maharaj chose the position of Acharya Maharaj as his platform.

And Ekantik Dharma, otherwise, he would tell the sadhus, "You all propagate the Ekantik Dharma."

He would tell the devotees, "If there are good devotees, they should propagate the Ekantik Dharma."

Where is that said?

If there are people like Ambarish Raja, they should propagate the Ekantik Dharma.

Ambarish Raja.

He himself can become ekantik.

Haribhaktas, like that.

But he cannot make his son ekantik.

So if it is in his destiny, it will happen.

If it is not in his destiny, it will not happen.

Parvatbhai's son, Megho, could not become ekantik.

So, his position is not like that.

And this position is such that from this position, one can propagate ekantik dharma.

Even if his son doesn't become one, he can still do it for others, there is a position, isn't there?

It is a respectable position.

So, from a respectable position, whatever we want to achieve becomes easy.

And if the position is not respectable, then no one will be able to instill the good things that people want to instill in their hearts.

Regarding the first position, it is said that it cannot be drunk.

That happens.

So Maharaj first gave the command regarding satsang that

For the protection of dharma.

By establishing gurus, give diksha to mumukshus.

And among them, give diksha to mumukshus.

That is, give diksha to sadhus.

What a beautiful shloka Maharaj gave.

The ekantik dharma is spreading, the devotion to Swaminarayan is spreading, and that happens through sadhus.

Sadhus catch each jiva, remove whatever evil is in their heart, and instill firm devotion to Maharaj in them.

Acharya Maharaj are only two, where do they go, how many people do they contact?

So he cannot contact everyone.

So, if there are good principles in a sadhu, he can establish his own.

So Maharaj first said that diksha to mumukshus and diksha to mumukshus.

Diksha to mumukshus.

Diksha to mumukshus by them.

So, to give diksha to mumukshus.

That diksha should be given for the sole purpose of establishing and propagating the ekantik dharma.

So that it is inspired on earth, that was Maharaj's purpose for coming.

So Maharaj's purpose for coming was.

To whom should he tell it the most?

So Maharaj.

He first told Acharya Maharaj about dharma.

In the dharma of a householder, it was said, the first shloka directly said that

Stay away from widows.

So he can only protect his own dharma.

If he is very strong, he can protect his own dharma.

And Maharaj Shri's position is such that in the hearts of others,

he can establish the ekantik dharma established by Maharaj if he wishes.

If he makes his own plan, then

he can do it in the hearts of others.

So Maharaj gave that first command.

All the commands until now were personal and familial.

Risk management, don't take risks.

Don't take any personal risk.

His personal risk becomes a risk for the entire satsang.

So,

Don't take anyone's deposit, don't be a guarantor for anyone.

Don't take a loan.

Don't incur debt.

All that was personal risk.

But if personal risk comes, the entire satsang gets into risk.

So Maharaj first mentioned all those individual dharmas.

The men and women who are my devotees, for the dharma of all of them, as told to each of them,

to protect the dharma along with bhakti, their conduct, the dharma along with bhakti, needs to be protected.

Not just the protection of dharma.

So, the ekantik dharma, the Bhagavat dharma, needs to be protected.

His dependent satsangis and his dependent sadhus,

in them, the Bhagavat dharma should prevail more and more.

Maharaj gave the seed of this position.

The main responsibility is of the Acharya.

Looking at the main responsibility of protecting dharma, it seems that the protection of dharma is done only by ekantik sadhus.

Sadhus propagate it.

Sadhus cannot punish anyone.

Maharaj forbade sadhus from punishing anyone.

If you want to establish something, sometimes punishment is also needed.

That's why it gets established.

Even if it is established with love.

The king's rule is there, if he just keeps pleading with the people, not all the people will agree. The good people will agree.

And if there are all those people, then a fool would believe the king.

He kept saying it, but no one believed him.

He said to such a king.

So, for establishment, both things are needed.

So, he cannot punish.

Sadhus can preach that this is called Ekantik Dharma, this is called Maharaj's devotion.

If one has devotion to Maharaj, then one should do this and not do that. If someone breaks it, then he cannot slap him twice.

He can explain to him.

And the places that have been given, they can also punish a little bit, staying within the limits of the Sampraday, they can punish him, saying that he should be expelled, that he is not a devotee of Maharaj, and if he is looting in the name of Maharaj, then he should not be allowed to loot the people.

Staying within the limits of the Sampraday, he can also punish him, saying that he should be expelled, that he is not a devotee of Maharaj, and if he is looting in the name of Maharaj, then he should not be allowed to loot the people.

He can do that.

That's why Maharaj said that.

It is said in the Bhagavat that after God went to his abode.

In the Bhagavat, after God went to his abode, it is said that Dharma is Ekantik.

It is in the Nirmatsaranam Sata.

From that perspective, what is said in the Bhagavat, the position of Acharya, is the position of a Sadhu.

Even though the Acharya is a householder, he is not like other householders; he is a renunciate householder.

He has to dedicate his entire life to Satsang.

It's not just for the family.

The family is a tradition that continues, so it is a family.

It is in the Bhagavat, in the eleventh canto, and in our scriptures as well.

In Acharya Maharaj's Harilamrut, the duties of Acharya Maharaj are mentioned.

Those are the duties of a renunciate.

So, householders who are like ideal kings, such householders.

So, King Janak's detachment was even greater than Shukdevji's detachment.

And only then can he propagate Ekantik Dharma. The propagation of Ekantik Dharma cannot be done by renunciates.

In that, there is a need for something more than just renunciation.

So,

Bhagavat Dharma and Maharaj

In the 21st Vachanamrut of Antya, Maharaj has discussed these things.

In that, Maharaj has made three divisions.

If you look at it with a very subtle perspective, he made three divisions.

Which three divisions?

Firstly, the Varnashrama Dharma.

Secondly, devotion to God.

And thirdly, Bhagavat Dharma.

Maharaj has discussed this.

Firstly, the question was like that.

That Maharaj should come for the establishment of Bhakti.

And why did Shri Krishna Bhagwan say in the Gita that Maharaj came for the establishment of Dharma?

This is the question of the saints.

So Maharaj answered it and said that.

Ekantik Dharma and Bhakti are not separate.

Then Maharaj went into great detail.

That there is Pravritti Dharma and Nivritti Dharma.

Both of them are related to God, and one is devoid of relation to God.

In that, the Pravritti Dharma which is related to God.

And the Nivritti Dharma which is related to God.

Bhakti is not separate from it.

Then why didn't God say that Ekantik Dharma, that devotion related to God, if it is devotion, then why didn't it come for the establishment of devotion? So the word Bhakti was not used there.

And Dharma, meaning Ekantik Dharma, was used.

So its meaning is this.

That Bhagavat Dharma is not included in Bhakti.

In devotion alone.

And in Bhagavat Dharma, devotion is included.

So Bhagavat Dharma is one step ahead of Bhakti.

If there is extraordinary devotion, then there is no problem.

But ordinary devotion is.

It does not come before Bhagavat Dharma.

Maharaj then said that the Varnashrama Dharma is crippled before Bhagavat Dharma.

But equal to Bhagavat Dharma.

If one deeply contemplates that Vachanamrut, its meaning is that even devotion is not considered equal to Bhagwat Dharma.

It cannot come in its comparison.

Why? Devotion is related to one's own individual person.

If I keep performing Navadha Bhakti all day, I will be called a devotee.

I will not be called a follower of Bhagwat Dharma.

I will only be called a follower of Bhagwat Dharma when I nurture all four aspects.

And I establish it in the hearts of others.

Only then does Bhagwat Dharma manifest.

Devotion alone is not enough.

It cannot be achieved by devotion alone.

So Maharaj has not verbally downgraded devotion in it.

But indirectly, such a suggestion was made.

That God comes for the purpose of establishing Bhagwat Dharma.

And Bhagwat Dharma has something special in it, more than devotion.

Bhagwat Dharma is something even more special than devotion.

When all four aspects are present and complete, then Bhagwat Dharma is established.

In that, devotion alone is already included.

And if it's about devotion alone, then one has to say that if it's extraordinary devotion, then there's no need for the other.

If there is extraordinary devotion, like that of King Prithu, then devotion alone can accomplish the task.

Even if the other is not there.

Maharaj said that.

So, if you discuss Bhagwat Dharma in great depth, it is one step ahead of devotion, and Maharaj said here,

that to protect Bhagwat Dharma, to protect the Bhagwat Dharma of the satsangis,

I have my own position, I have received the gadi from Ramanand Swami, and this is self-earned.

It's not as if I received it through someone's grace.

It's not a helicopter landing, Maharaj.

And Maharaj, even if it were a helicopter landing, Ramanand Swami had earnestly requested that only you sit, no one else.

You are the only one worthy.

So Maharaj, and then Maharaj illuminated it in the world with his own personality.

So it's not called a helicopter landing, Maharaj.

It's called self-earned; he has adorned it with his own personality.

That throne.

I am giving you that throne.

You are the rightful heir to that throne, and I am giving it to you.

So, before giving that throne, I am giving you the responsibility. My responsibility was to establish Ekantik Dharma in the hearts of all dependents and to protect it. That throne, that responsibility is now yours. You do this. To please me, you do this. That is the feeling. What is the Acharya? Suppose he is unable to fully fulfill the responsibility of Bhagwat Dharma. Yes, and if there is an Ekantik Sant who fulfills the responsibility of Bhagwat Dharma in a certain way, then there is no fault in that. If he fulfills the responsibility, then as you say, it becomes like Vidurji and Yudhishthir. Vidurji could do it in his house, but he could not spread it throughout the kingdom. And Yudhishthir could spread it throughout the kingdom because he had such a place. So then Maharaj said that the position of a sadhu is such that 'Sab Bhumi Gopal Ki' (all land belongs to God). No limitations have been given to him. This is a limitation of our sampraday, that this country and that country. But otherwise, in Hindu Dharma, sadhus have no limitations; they can go anywhere and propagate God's Dharma. So that whole thing became different. This is like Maharaj considered it by keeping the sectarian view in mind. So then Maharaj said about the sadhus that whoever has as much strength, they can propagate it in a neighborhood, in a street, in a village, in an area. That is then the strength of their own personality. Here, Maharaj is talking about the place, that this place is for that reason. Then, if someone like Viharilalji Maharaj or Raghuvirji Maharaj comes, then the place and both things in it.

It happens a little.

Then that work increases.

Shastriji Maharaj used to say, "If I were in the householder's ashram, what else would I do?"

I would become the sarpanch of the village or a leader in that area, an MLA, and all that.

So, how much service to this Sampraday could I do then?

When I became a sadhu, the power that was in my Swami before, that same power came to me.

That personality is his.

But because of the position, he can propagate it, others cannot.

Parvatbhai had a strong sense of ekantiktva.

Even then, Parvatbhai, being an ekantik, could not make the entire Agatrai ekantik.

And in Junagadh, Gunatitanand Swami was there, so he established such a tradition.

Gunatitanand Swami was one, and he had ten guru mandals established. All of them were capable of breaking one's head. Just as Gunatitanand Swami had divine power, so did Balmukund Swami, Mahapurushdas Swami, Yogeshwar Swami. All of them were like that.

it was done

They were all capable of breaking one's head.

Just as Gunatitanand Swami had divine power, so did Balmukund Swami, Mahapurushdas Swami, Yogeshwar Swami. All of them were like that.

Capable of breaking one's head.

Why do that?

Because he is a sadhu.

His householder status, the status of an ekantik, was not less than Parvatbhai's.

Nor was it less than Govardhanbhai's.

Nishkulanand Swami wrote that Parvatbhai's name was 'Karanrup' (the cause) in the Kanbi caste, meaning he was the cause of something.

So there was no problem with his ekantik status.

But this is about propagation.

For propagation, there should be some space, there should be a platform.

Without a platform, propagation cannot happen.

So, a sadhu can do it, he does it with the strength of his own efforts, but he does it in his own courtyard, he cannot do more.

And if he puts in that much effort, it will happen all over the earth, it will happen all over the earth.

The effort of both is equal.

If an ekantik bhagat works very hard, he makes his family happy.

Who else would believe him?

No neighbor would believe him.

So, even if a sadhu is a road digger, everyone says, "Jai Bapji, Jai Bapji."

Let him draw circles.

All of them.

So, if a sadhu stands anywhere and calls out, a thousand people will stand up.

Jai Bapji, tell us what your command is.

A thousand people are ready to accept it.

And if a householder is very strong, then a couple of good people will support him, it's not like they won't.

But who does for a sadhu what they do for others?

Now, it's the same thing, if the Acharya Maharaj calls out from his position, then

Then the whole satsang accepts it.

A sadhu has a fixed area; if it's Shastriji Maharaj, then he's in Junagadh.

Didn't Swami often say, "Shastriji, you did a lot of good work, but we can't do dharma here, can we?"

Maharaj has forbidden it.

So they became sidelined, didn't they?

But if that same work is in the hands of the Acharya Maharaj and he calls out that we want to do such work for the satsang, then

That's why Maharaj gives him responsibility.

Maharaj's own responsibility was

that Ramanand Swami entrusted the gadi to Maharaj.

Maharaj Ramanand Swami just cleared the space, tidied it up, and said, "Sit down somewhere."

We have brought the form of Ganesh.

And sit down.

And then Maharaj, with the influence of his divine nature, illuminated it everywhere.

And he established the ekantik dharma in the hearts of these people.

In the hearts of the followers.

And that responsibility, Maharaj gave to both these Acharya Maharajs.

That this is both of your responsibilities, the main responsibility.

After that, whoever does it, it is said that his sword is what he desires, and his dharma is what he follows.

But propagation cannot be done equally by everyone.

The position helps a little in propagation.

All the religions that existed before could only spread by gaining royal patronage.

When Buddhism was there, when Ashoka accepted it, it spread throughout India.

If there is no royal patronage or no support from wealthy people,

then

That dharma-gyan (righteousness and knowledge) does not increase further.

It does not progress.

This Christian religion was accepted by many Roman kings and others, so it spread all over the earth.

It cannot spread just based on how much power, strength, and truth there is in its dharma.

The quality is fine.

To spread, there must be a high position.

For propagation.

That is why Maharaj has given such a position to both acharyas and also given them their responsibility.

He said, "Go, you do it now."

My devotees

There is a difference in dharma and Bhagavat dharma, one of them

Who is speaking?

In front of the mantra

Okay.

I, I speak.

There is a difference between dharma and Bhagavat dharma. Maharaj said that good conduct is dharma, so if devotion is included in it, that is Bhagavat dharma, or is there something more? Yes, that's right, that's right. That is Bhagavat dharma. Devotion in good conduct. Maharaj has clearly stated what the difference is between Bhagavat dharma and Bhagavat dharma. In the 21st Vachanamrut, Maharaj has very clearly stated that we have discussed many times that dharma is of two types: pravritti (worldly engagement) and nivritti (detachment). What is pravritti dharma? To strive for wealth and family is called pravritti dharma. To strive for spiritual practice is called nivritti dharma, only for spiritual practice. If there is no connection with God in it, then it is called Bhagavat dharma, which is related to God. Maharaj has clearly made a clear difference between dharma and Bhagavat dharma. In bhakti and Bhagavat dharma, it is not so clear. If you want to make it clear, you have to do it by taking the support of other scriptures. That's all there is to it. Otherwise, in dharma and Bhagavat dharma, both are very clearly given, aren't they?

My dependent men and women, to protect the dharma of all of them, the dharma including devotion as told to them, for that purpose, their acharyaship has been established.

So, for the purpose of protecting dharma, no one should misunderstand that it is merely the dharma of varnashram.

But for the protection of the ekantik dharma, God has established them.

It is established by the guru.

So, it refers to the state of being a guru.

Not just a caretaker government.

A caretaker government does not do any new work.

If something gets damaged in between, the caretaker government keeps it.

So, a caretaker government cannot do any new work.

Whatever exists, it drives it a little.

And it just signs.

Not in new work.

To protect the dharma, including devotion, as told to all, my nephews, who were established in their acharyaship, should initiate men of all four varnas who have come to their refuge and desire moksha from samsara.

In propagating ekantik dharma, the main role is played by mumukshus, and those who become sadhus from among the mumukshus.

It has the most significant role.

The acharya Maharaj is said to have the most significant role, but there are only two of them, their number is very small, so they cannot reach everyone.

My nephews should initiate men of all four varnas who have come to their refuge and desire moksha from samsara.

That is, they should bestow the grace of initiating with the mantra of Shri Krishna Bhagwan.

It is said in Pancharatra that

That is great compassion.

The acharya Maharaj should initiate those mumukshus.

It is said in Pancharatra that Brahmins, Kshatriyas, Vaishyas, Satshudras, and their wives, all of them, as well as sadhus who have love for devotion to God, should be initiated by the guru according to the prescribed rituals.

Commentary

Both acharyas, established in the position of acharya, should initiate mumukshus.

Shri Hari commands that my devotees

The meaning of this command given by Shri Hari to all is that even though both these Acharyas are of good conduct,

if they neglect their duty as Acharyas and do not give initiation of Shri Krishna's mantra to the mumukshu jans, then they will have to suffer the sin of violating our command.

He himself observes the Ekantik Dharma.

But he does not give initiation to the mumukshus.

Then Maharaj says that atonement is not... what is written like that? What did he say?

Pratyavaya.

Pratyavaya means atonement.

He is called eligible for atonement.

So, it is a greater command to propagate Ekantik Dharma than to merely observe it oneself.

And in propagating Ekantik Dharma, one's own observance of it is implicitly included.

It is written in the Shruti that the Atma should be seen, heard, contemplated, and meditated upon.

To have darshan of Paramatma.

Then it is said to contemplate.

To listen, contemplate, meditate, and then have darshan.

So, listening, contemplation, and meditation are implicitly attained.

If one wants to have darshan, if one wants to have darshan like a continuous stream of oil, then one has to contemplate it, one has to listen to it, only then it happens.

So, that will happen automatically.

So, it is the same here.

That to establish Ekantik Dharma in the hearts of others, one will automatically have to observe it oneself.

And if he does not observe it himself, then others will not be established.

So, the important duty is to propagate Ekantik Dharma, that is, to connect other jivas to Maharaj with Ekantik bhava.

Shri Hari has that specialty of Maharaj.

It's not just about connecting them to astikta; for astikta, there are scriptures, and other avatars have also done a lot of work.

But the special work that Maharaj has done compared to other avatars, that responsibility belongs to Maharaj Shri.

It belongs to Acharya Maharaj Shri.

The meaning of this command given by Shri Hari is that even though both these Acharyas are of good conduct, if they neglect their duty as Acharyas and do not give initiation of Shri Krishna's mantra to the mumukshu jans,

He is not just an ordinary devotee.

He is an Acharya.

So, the duty as an Acharya is different, and his duty as a devotee is different.

So, the command we are giving is regarding the duty of an Acharya.

Even though both these Acharyas are of good conduct, if they neglect their duty as Acharyas and do not give initiation of Shri Krishna's mantra to the mumukshu jans,

then they will have to suffer the sin of violating our command.

Therefore, they should give Krishna mantra initiation to the mumukshu jans.

There is also a peculiarity in giving initiation; only one who has attained the authority can give initiation.

This initiation of bhakti, if he has not taken initiation, he cannot give it.

So, in our sampradaya, it happens that when the sons of Acharya Maharaj are born, they are given the status of sadhus.

And then he becomes a satsangi.

And then he becomes an Acharya and gives initiation to this one.

So, it has been interlocked.

By Maharaj.

It is mentioned somewhere in Harilamrut that Gunatitanand Swami had given initiation to Vihari Lalji Maharaj.

When Vihari Lalji Maharaj was young, Gunatitanand Swami had given him initiation.

He clearly states the attainment of the right to initiation as a guru.

I have established both Ayodhya Prasadji and Raghuveerji on the post of Acharya.

Therefore, both of them, having received the knowledge of the initiation ritual from me, should, by my command, impart the Krishna mantra of initiation, so says Shri Hari.

The Krishna mantra of initiation is in the form of Parabrahma Vidya and is also the supreme secret.

That is important.

The mantra initiation was mentioned in our initiation ritual.

Mantra initiation is important.

The Krishna mantra of initiation is in the form of Parabrahma Vidya and is also the supreme secret.

So, without obtaining the guru's command, merely by acquiring knowledge, this

The eligibility for the instruction of the Krishna mantra, such eligibility is not attained by anyone. Such is the sentiment of Shri Hari, which becomes clear.

So, if one goes to Kashi, studies, and understands the meaning well, that doesn't mean they gain the right to give initiation.

That right to give initiation comes to him through tradition.

Otherwise, perhaps those who came through this tradition might not even fully know the meaning of the mantra.

And even if others know a lot, they don't have the right to give initiation or to give the mantra.

It is such that if he gives this mantra, it will bear fruit.

All those others can explain its meaning and its glory.

That this is its meaning.

The right to give is different, and the capacity to explain is different.

So why have both these acharyas been established?

Its answer is given: 'Madaashritanam Sarvesham' (for all who have taken refuge in me).

For the sake of protecting dharma.

The acharyas have been established for the protection of the supreme and exclusive dharma of those who are my devotees.

To remove any obstacles encountered in observing dharma and to provide all kinds of conveniences.

These two tasks, what is the main leader's job?

Problem solving.

To do problem solving.

That in observing the Ekantik Dharma, if his devotees have any problems, he should solve them.

And then keep inspiring and motivating them to go this way, go that way, go forward.

There's a greater chance now.

Achieve this much now, then achieve that much.

Keep motivating them like that.

And keep solving problems.

That is his job.

Otherwise, when he's free, he performs puja.

He does this.

That's the work of a big position.

What do all these company CEOs do?

What is their entire schedule?

Meetings, playing golf.

He just has to play golf.

When he makes a decision while drinking coffee in the morning, the others get to work for the whole day.

And then he just takes his car and goes to the golf room.

Then in the evening, he comes and asks what happened with everything.

So a CEO's main job is mostly playing golf, not that other stuff.

He makes such a decision that even if they rush for a week, it won't be finished.

And the work gets done well.

So the main person's job is like that.

Then let him do all this, solve the problems, inspire them, motivate them.

And then he sits and keeps playing golf, that's fine.

Maharaj didn't tell him to play golf; he told him to chant beads.

That one should perform nine-fold devotion.

He didn't tell Acharya Maharaj to play golf.

But in the world, it's like that.

So why have both these acharyas been established?

Shri Hari answers that it is for the protection of the dharma of all those who have taken refuge in me.

The acharyas have been established for the protection of the supreme and exclusive dharma of those who are my devotees.

To remove any obstacles encountered in observing dharma and to provide all kinds of conveniences.

These two tasks are to be done by giving good advice, etc.

The meaning of 'dharma rakshan hetve' is this.

Maharaj, Vyas Raghuvirji Maharaj, interpreted it as: what is dharma rakshan (protection of dharma)? It means if someone faces difficulty in observing the Ekantik Dharma.

Then solve it for them, or help them solve it, by encouraging them.

That what you're doing is correct, come on, I'll help you.

And those who are still on the edge, inspire them to come, strengthen their devotion to Maharaj, it's very good.

To encourage them, even then.

So it is said 'dharma rakshan hetve' (for the protection of dharma).

The essence of what is being said is that for the protection of the supreme Ekantik Dharma, the acharyas established in the position of acharya should instruct the seekers with the Krishna mantra and permanently free them from the bondage of samskara.

There is no other point like his.

If he guides one soul onto the path of God, it's like saving the entire universe; that's his point, it's a very big task.

It's a very big responsibility.

The essence of what is being said is that for the protection of the supreme Ekantik Dharma, the acharyas established in the position of acharya should liberate the mumukshus from the bondage of samsara forever by giving them the initiation of the Krishna mantra.

What is the original word mumukshu?

That is, the right to take initiation with the Krishna mantra is only mumukshutva, but there is no distinction of varnas.

Regarding this, there is a saying in the Pancharatra that a Brahmin, Kshatriya, Vaishya, or Shudra who wishes to be freed from the miseries of samsara, who is devoted to the devotion of Shri Vishnu Bhagwan, and who is a good person, should be given initiation by the Acharya Guru according to the rituals.

In the current situation, the Acharya Maharaj is there, and it seems very difficult to protect Dharma in this way, from there all the

According to the situation, he can do it himself, what else? There is no such thing as a sin or a fault that would befall him.

If it is possible, then there is a hindrance; if it is not possible, then what kind of hindrance is there?

When a person has a hindrance, what kind of atonement is it? It is for not doing what is possible.

If there is a country and time, Maharaj has not said that if there is a country and time and there is no water to bathe, then one should bathe when water is available.

Then there is no atonement for not having bathed there.

So, God only takes note of what is possible.

If it's not possible, God knows that it's not possible.

That this is not possible for him.

Verse number 129

Having established them according to their authority,

in their respective dharmas, their dependents,

should be respected as saints,

and the study of good scriptures should be done with reverence.

And all the satsangis who are dependent on them should be kept in their respective dharmas according to their authority, and sadhus should be respected with reverence, and the study of good scriptures should be done with reverence.

Both these acharyas should keep their dependent disciples in their respective stated dharmas in an organized manner according to their authority.

If this is not done, then the sin committed by the disciple falls upon the guru.

It is said in Shankha Smriti that

It affects the people, doesn't it?

It is said so.

If the subjects commit sin, it affects the king.

If his subjects are householders and their children or family members commit sins, then it

affects the head of the household.

Among sadhus, if disciples commit sins,

then it affects their guru as well.

In the same way, if something happens in the entire satsang,

his share

Just as there is income from religious taxes, there is also sin. If a king collects taxes from his subjects, he doesn't do it for free, does he?

If he takes taxes, then sin also goes with it.

And if he promotes dharma, then he also gains merit.

That's it.

So, it's the same thing for him.

This is a religious king, isn't it?

He is a religious king and holds a high position, and even if we are in a mess right now,

the respect for Maharaj Shri is great, and everyone bows to him.

So he is a religious king.

So, the justice of the other applies to him completely.

If he promotes good, it's good, and if he promotes bad, it's bad.

It is said in Shankha Smriti that a king who cannot impart religious education to his subjects,

the sin committed by the subjects falls upon the king.

The sin committed by disciples falls upon the acharya who does not impart religious education.

And the sin committed by women falls upon their husbands.

Furthermore, he has said in the Smritis,

Furthermore, he should respect and worship the devotee sadhus of Shri Krishna Bhagwan appropriately.

Because the worship of virtuous persons is the root of all happiness.

It is said in the Shruti of the Mundakopanishad that one who has a pure inner consciousness and has realized the Supreme Soul, whatever world he contemplates in his mind,

There's a story, isn't there, that when Raghuvirji Maharaj went to Junagadh,

Maharaj Shri went down somewhere to relieve himself.

These shoes fell down. Then after Maharajshri sat down, the attendants were present, so the attendants must have gone back there.

So Balmukund Swami took the shoes and placed them before Maharajshri.

So Raghuvirji Maharaj said, "Yes, yes, Sadhuram, you, my Maharaj, are considered our Guru, and Raghuvirji Maharaj had a personality like Maharaj."

Still, he thought, "No, we are householders, and you are renunciants."

So renunciants should not take these shoes.

So they respected that, as Maharaj had said.

Maharaj said, "One should respectfully study the holy scriptures and honor the saints."

So, one should respect saintly persons.

That's true.

Saints like Viharilalji Maharaj and Raghuvirji Maharaj used to show great respect to sadhus.

Moreover, he

Now, in this era, what happens is that sadhus are at odds with each other, pulling each other down, going to court against each other, or running against each other in elections, so they maintain as much respect as they can.

So

That's what's said now, isn't it?

Huh? Actually, for Maharajshri, it's a dilemma to give initiation, it's mandatory, and there's no control in hand, and it has to be done for the establishment of dharma.

Such is the time, such a time has come.

All the time is like that.

So everyone works according to the time, and they all work according to the time.

Moreover, he should respect the devotee saints of Shri Krishna Bhagwan.

What?

There's an online question: if an Acharya Maharaj has deviated from dharma and gives initiation, will it be beneficial or not?

That's for Maharaj to know. We shouldn't delve too much into that. We should do as much as is in the Shikshapatri.

There shouldn't be too much discussion about gurus.

So, in depth, you should study the scriptures.

We cannot have extensive discussions about Acharya Maharaj.

Moreover, he should respect and worship the devotee saints of Shri Krishna Bhagwan as appropriate.

Because saintly persons

These verses have come, so let's explain their meaning.

We shouldn't solve the question here.

Because the worship of saintly persons is the root of all happiness.

It is said in the Shruti of the Mundaka Upanishad that one with a pure inner self who has realized the Supreme Soul, whatever worlds he desires in his mind and whatever desires he serves, he attains those worlds and those enjoyments.

Being glorious in the form of true resolve, the worship of a person who has realized the Supreme Soul should be performed by one who desires prosperity.

If saints are not respected and worshipped, then even the worship of God performed by the Acharyas does not yield full results.

It is said in Shrimad Bhagavatam, for example, that a person has self-identification with his body, which is made of the three humors: vata, pitta, and kapha; he has a sense of possessiveness towards his wife and others; he has a sense of reverence towards the idols of God; and he has a sense of sacredness towards Ganga water and other holy places.

If he does not have the same self-identification, possessiveness, reverence, and sacredness towards the devotee of God, then he is an animal like an ox and a donkey.

It only mentions sadhus.

A sadhu means an exclusive devotee of God. Then, if Maharajshri is a devotee of God, he is also included in that.

But if someone has unwavering devotion to God, and they don't have such a feeling, then they are like a dullard.

In that, Vyas Bhagwan has mostly said that verse in the context of householders.

What's the point of doing it in the context of householders? Why not for renunciants? If renunciants don't have that, aren't they considered dullards?

Is it said or not said?

It is said, but

Vyas Bhagwan said this: "One who has self-identification with the body, which is made of the three humors, and has a sense of possessiveness towards his wife and others, and has a sense of reverence towards the idols of God, and has a sense of sacredness towards Ganga water and other holy places."

One who has a sense of sacredness towards Ganga water and other holy places, but not towards the devotees of God, is like a dullard.

He should be known as an ox and a donkey.

So if a householder doesn't have that, he should be known as an ox and a donkey.

So if a renunciant doesn't have that, then?

Then

He won't be counted.

He's not an ox or a donkey.

He is not an ox or a donkey.

Because he doesn't do anything good for anyone like a donkey. A donkey does good for its owner, but he doesn't do good for anyone.

So Vyas Bhagwan has kept two analogies here. We will have to find two more analogies.

That he should be given two analogies like a donkey and an ox.

If a householder does not do this, then these two.

And if a renunciate does not do this, then what should we call him? Blank space, blank space.

So Vyas Bhagwan didn't say anything again.

Because when talking about the glory of a sadhu, if you then say that to a sadhu, it becomes a crossing, like, is it like this for him and him?

But it does apply.

If it's not like that, then it happens like this.

But now if Bhagwan Vyas Bhagwan has said it, then who is his master?

So he must have said it somewhere else.

And here they were sitting to praise him.

And if someone is sitting to praise their mother and says, 'My mother is barren.'

If they say that, then all the praises they made become useless.

So nothing like that was done here.

Bhagwan has told Shrutdev that.

But the praises there are only for the sadhus.

Bhagwan has told Shrutdev that, 'O Brahman, you worship these Brahmarshis with my devotion.'

If you do so, then consider that you have worshipped me.

Otherwise, many times, Shri Krishna Bhagwan had gone to Shrutdev's house, right?

It comes in the latter half of the Bhagavat.

Bhagwan had gone to King Janak's house there.

Shrutdev was a Brahmin, he was a devotee of Bhagwan.

So he said that if you worship these Rishis, then my worship is done.

Otherwise, my worship cannot be done even with many valuable materials.

The person who worships Bhagwan by having faith only in the murti.

But does not worship other devotees with devotion, then he is considered a worldly devotee.

In the ninth canto, Bhagwan has also told Durvasa that, 'Except for my devotee sadhu-purushas, I do not even love myself.'

In the same way, both those acharyas should respectfully study the Satsang scriptures that we have mentioned before.

Study is done in four ways.

One is study, reading; second is to keep contemplating; third is declaration.

To keep speaking with clear pronunciation, and fourth means to repeat and repeat.

Study is done in four ways.

One, one study, reading.

So first, read.

If one throws away studying, then there will be no study.

Second, keep contemplating.

Third, declaration.

Contemplate what you have studied.

Keep speaking with clear pronunciation.

And fourth, teaching.

Then, when one teaches others, the learning is complete.

Until one teaches others, the learning is not complete.

Knowledge is acquired in four parts.

First, when one studies.

Then, when one studies with other classmates.

Third, over time.

And fourth, by teaching, by teaching.

Teaches others.

And even if one teaches others, then after a long time, one understands that this is what is said in my Vachanamrut.

And sometimes, some embodied disciples of ours meet us and they explain the Vachanamrut to us.

Many times, disciples explain the Vachanamrut, who explains it the most?

Who imparts knowledge to the Guru?

Huh?

No one else, not even Bhagwan, can do what disciples can do.

Whether one believes in Bhagwan or not.

But disciples impart knowledge.

They open eyes, open ears.

Disciples say, 'Listen with open ears.'

Open your eyes and see.

Open your mind and understand.

So, opening all that is in their hands, not even in others' hands. Many times, even if I want to open my eyes, they don't open, but if someone else opens them, they open.

It opens immediately.

So, mostly disciples do this.

So, teaching gives a lot of knowledge.

And knowledge comes from disciples.

So, knowledge is contained in four parts.

First, when one studies.

Then, when one discusses with other classmates.

Then, when some time passes.

And fourth, when one teaches someone else.

If he completes all four stages, then his knowledge will be good.

What else was said about these four things?

To study, to keep contemplating, to keep speaking with clear pronunciation, and to teach.

Those four things are the limbs without which it is incomplete.

Victory to Sahajanand Swami Maharaj.
