Shikshapatri, verse number 65
Pratyaham Karyamithamhi Sarverapi Madashritaihi Sanskrit Prakrut Granthabhyam Sachhapi Yathhamati
And all our devotees, as it was said before, should do it daily.
And the study of such good scriptures in Sanskrit and Prakrit should also be done according to one's own intellect.
In this way, the daily rituals mentioned in verses 49 to 64 should be performed daily by all my devotees.
Similarly, the study of theistic scriptures composed in divine language, Sanskrit and Prakrit, i.e., in the vernacular, should be done daily according to one's own intellect.
Because the study of those scriptures is fundamental in imparting knowledge of the nature of dharma and adharma.
It is said in the Rajadharma of Mahabharata that as a person studies the scriptures daily, he gains a special kind of knowledge.
And after that, he develops an interest in that knowledge.
It is also said in the Gita that therefore, in the arrangement of your duties and non-duties, the scriptures are the only authority.
It is said in the Padma Purana to abandon the support of the scriptures.
Once, I gained a lot of knowledge.
I read the Gita, I read Ramanand Bhashya, I read Gopal Anand Swami's Bhashya.
I read Tatparya Chandrika.
I read everything.
But if you put it back, everything will be gone.
One should study the Sat-shastras until their last breath.
It is said in Satsangi Jivan that if one does not study the Sat-shastras, their intellect becomes dull.
Therefore, one should study the Sat-shastras until the end.
Stop studying.
So, he becomes dull in any matter.
Even if they are scholars.
If they are scholars, they become subtly dull, and others become grossly dull.
Becomes dull.
Should one repeatedly study the same scripture or study new scriptures?
What did Maharaj say? That the study of Sanskrit and Prakrit scriptures.
As per one's intellect.
If it comes to your mind, then study new scriptures.
And if the intellect is not sufficient,
then study that same text.
So,
Then, how much can one do with new, new, new things?
Then, don't have too much hope or desire for many new things.
In this Shikshapatri, it is said, 'Bahun Granthana Abhyaseta' (do not study too many scriptures).
It is also said in the Eleventh Canto.
Do not study too many scriptures.
So, what should its meaning be?
So, listen to many different scriptures of other principles.
In the same principle, one should delve deep until the last breath.
Okay, you should know about the Bible and the Quran.
So, one should know that studying many such scriptures...
then one's intellect gets corrupted.
If one listens to and studies the scriptures of atheists, then one's intellect will surely be damaged.
So, don't do too much of that.
If there are scriptures of one line, one should study them.
There's no objection to that.
First, one should study the Satsangi Jivan.
Then, one should study its commentary.
Then, one should study the commentary written by Shukanand Swami.
If you want to study the Gita, you should study the original Gita.
You should study Ramanuja Bhashya.
Then, you should study Tatparya Chandrika.
There's no problem with that.
That is not called studying many scriptures.
So, studying it deeply is not called studying many scriptures. If there are scriptures of the principles of our Sampraday, one should study them.
And one should study it deeply.
And one should keep those scriptures with them until their last breath to gain them in life.
It is said in the Gita, "Shastram Pramanam" (scripture is the authority).
God told Arjuna.
I have piled all this before you.
Now, say what you think is right.
And why didn't he say that a person is the authority for what is true or false?
Otherwise, he didn't say, "Bring the प्रमाण (proof) from the apta purushas (enlightened souls)."
Arguments are diverse, scriptures are diverse, and there is no single sage whose opinion is the authority.
The essence of dharma is hidden in the cave; the path taken by the great souls is the true path.
So, in that, go to the great souls.
And do as the great souls say.
So why didn't it say here that one should do as the great souls say?
And do as the scriptures say.
Why didn't it say that?
The great souls have their own...
And great souls are found in every home, you see.
So, when many great souls gather, it is said that arguments are diverse, scriptures are diverse, and there is no single sage whose opinion is the authority.
diverse
There are no such great souls who all agree perfectly.
So, scripture is the authority.
It doesn't change moment by moment.
What is written once, remains written.
And great souls, even in their own lives, can change in a moment.
Sometimes this bulletin is released.
Sometimes that bulletin is released.
They might say both are canceled, and now follow this third bulletin.
They release such things.
Great souls don't have much stability.
So, according to the market, great souls release bulletins.
If it's a winter market, they'll release a blanket bulletin.
And if it's a monsoon market, they'll get umbrellas for everyone.
So, great souls are like that, you see.
So, scripture is the authority.
Keep the scriptures with you and bring the great soul to the center.
And if both of them align, then we should follow that line.
Should we understand scripture according to the great soul, or understand the great soul according to scripture?
Why?
The great soul according to scripture.
If they align with scripture, then they are a great soul. If they don't align with scripture, how can they be called a great soul?
Whose main authority should be taken?
Huh?
The main authority
First, determine the great soul according to scripture, and if the great soul is found in scripture...
then live life based on that.
Then there's no great need to rely on scripture.
First, they should be found based on scripture.
If they directly set aside scripture and decide on great souls, then we won't know where they'll lead us.
So, just as we keep checking accounts from time to time, similarly, for scripture, every six months, one quarter, two quarters, three quarters, and so on.
So, keep checking quarter by quarter.
Not with us, but with the scriptures.
And if it matches with that.
Then there's no need to ask the scriptures.
Maharaj has also said in the Vachanamrut that one should know the method from the scriptures.
And what method to know from the great souls, and how to make one's own decision.
Maharaj has said how to do the mechanism of all three.
What should I see from the scriptures and what should I learn from the great saints, and how should I think about it myself? Maharaj said this.
It is said in Loya, why is it said in Loya?
It is quickly said in the eighth, in the fifth.
Hey, in the fifth of Loya.
It is said in the fifth Vachanamrut.
How should one think? What should I learn from the scriptures and what should I learn from the saint?
What did it say in the scriptures?
One should know the glory of God and the saint.
Understand the glory.
Understanding the glory means knowing the characteristics and knowing the characteristics and matching them with the great saint.
And if he passes in that, he becomes a great saint.
So then, from him, one should learn the trick to conquer the senses and the trick to live life.
And what should I think about myself?
The trick that was taught, he should take it.
After this, he should take it for his welfare and put it into his practice.
Maharaj said that about all three things.
So if one does not study the scriptures, their intellect becomes dull.
So even our old saints used to sit with the Vachanamrut, or any of our scriptures, like Nishkulanand Kavya, which were read a lot in the old days.
Nishkulanand Kavya or Vachanamrut or Swami's talks or all scriptures were read.
If there was Satsangi Jivan, they would sit with it.
Narayandas Swami was a simple person himself, but he was very learned.
Swami writes in the cassette in the discourse, doesn't he, Swami, that that great saint had so much faith in listening, and he said that I should do the discourse, so we had all the scriptures recited.
To Swami.
And Swami was very pleased.
He had great faith in listening.
Swami was very learned.
As a person daily studies and practices the scriptures, he gains a special kind of knowledge.
And after that, he develops an interest in that knowledge. It is also said in the Gita that therefore, in the arrangement of your duties and non-duties, the scriptures are the only authority.
Padma Purana said that what to do and what not to do, the scriptures are the authority.
In the 17th chapter, God has said.
It is also said in the Gita that therefore, in the arrangement of your duties and non-duties, the scriptures are the only authority.
It is said in the Padma Purana that if a person does not study the good scriptures,
then that person who does not study should be considered like an animal.
Vidurji has also said that knowledge is the specialty in a person's life.
that a person can learn something.
An animal does not learn anything.
So if one remains the same throughout life, then that person is called an animal.
So we are a learning organization.
We want to make a learning institute, right?
That is, a learning institution.
We all know everything.
We don't have to go to anyone to learn.
Whoever wants to learn, come to us.
That was the old era.
So, learning education should happen.
It should be a learning organization.
One should learn until the last breath.
If he stops learning, it means he must have become dull anywhere.
Anywhere, in a corner, like that.
So if one is a householder, they should study the scriptures.
But one should study the natural scriptures that their intellect can grasp.
One should study the Vachanamrut.
Satsangi Jivan, Swami's talks, Nishkulanand Kavya, wherever our intellect can reach.
If a sadhu, then a sadhu should keep it very much.
If a person studies the good scriptures, then a sadhu should
study both teaching and learning.
Shastriji Maharaj used to take lessons at the age of 85.
At the age of 85, Swami's physical condition was not very healthy, yet he used to take lessons.
60
When Swami went abroad, Krishnapriya Swami was with him, and Swami used to teach there.
Krishnapriya Swami.
Now, at that age, and from what age did he start, he continued until he was 85 years old.
Swami, after the Satsang, he would read, of course.
But if one wants to study and teach, then that is the study.
So a sadhu needs both.
It is said that whatever knowledge one has gained, one should teach it to others.
So it's not just Sanskrit or anything like that.
If you have learned a skill, you should teach it to others.
If we learn a skill and then don't teach it to others, then God will not forgive them.
Knowledge should not die like a monkey that has fallen and died.
It should be useful to someone else.
Yes.
If a person does not study the holy scriptures, then that person who does not study should be considered like an animal.
Consider him like an animal.
Even if he is made to do it, and he still doesn't do it, then he should be considered like a violent animal.
Someone might be making him do something, and he goes to kick them.
Animals have such a habit.
Even if someone comes to feed them, they bite.
It's a violent one.
Not to others, but among animals, many are better than humans.
If you feed it or stroke it, it won't do anything to you.
If someone else comes, it bites.
Something like that.
So some animals are all good.
And some animals even bite those who feed them.
So, consider him like that.
If a person does not study the holy scriptures, then that person who does not study should be considered like an animal.
Vidurji has also said that a person who does not study the holy scriptures without knowledge is worthy of sorrow.
Sochya nishka.
Swami used to say, 'Nishkriya Purusha Sochya'.
So in this, Avidya Purusha, Avidya Purusha Sochya.
One who does not study, Avidya does not mean one who knows nothing or is not very learned.
One should grieve for the one who does not study.
Oh, brother is about to leave, and not a single Vachanamrut was completed by him.
One should grieve for him like that.
People grieve like this, don't they?
Brother passed away and didn't enjoy anything, where was he going to live in the new house he built, but brother didn't see it, the inauguration was left, he grieves like that.
So, one should grieve for him by saying that he started one Vachanamrut but couldn't complete it, brother.
And he left early.
Commentary.
He specifically mentions the daily tasks.
Pratyaham iti.
All our dependents, who have been commanded to perform worldly duties, should do everything as we are saying, from the command to wake up in the Brahma Muhurta in the morning.
All the commands given are not entirely new or modern.
All of that is already well-known in the scriptures composed by the sages who expounded the Vaishnava dharma.
To strengthen the teachings given so far, it is said to study the scriptures that benefit the jiva.
Sanskrit iti.
One should study the scriptures composed by the Tattvadarshi Mahapurushas in the divine language Sanskrit or in the regional dialect, which reveal the true benefit of truth, tattva, and the jiva.
What kind of scriptures should one study?
Those that promote the true welfare of truth, tattva, and the jiva.
For its benefit.
One should study such scriptures that encompass both tattva and welfare.
One should study scriptures that are sattvic, good, expound on tattva, and are beneficial to the jiva.
One should study the scriptures composed by the Tattvadarshi Mahapurushas in the divine language or the regional language, which reveal the true means of welfare for truth, tattva, and the jiva.
Of a book written by someone
Along with that, one should also study the Upanishads.
One who has insight into logical thoughts should repeatedly contemplate the principles established in the scriptures with prior research, according to their understanding.
That is called study.
That is called study.
Gunatitanand Swami said that one should follow the words of God's great saints.
And keep getting it.
What did Maharaj say in this matter, what did Nishkulanand Swami say, what did Gopalanand Swami say?
Gather it and extract its essence.
That is called study.
Study of scriptures.
Extract the essence and study it in one's life.
Then it is called nididhyasan.
Keep doing that repeatedly.
Once it's done, it's finished, and I've got it in my hands.
Not like that.
Whose opinion is this, that is the opinion.
Whoever assumes that they know everything is completely foolish.
It is said that he has not understood.
Whose opinion is not, that is the opinion.
That means
Still considers it incomplete.
Whoever believes that they still haven't fully understood.
In this, something deeper seems to be there.
Then he is right on the way.
It seems that he is on the right path.
That's how it is.
One who has insight into logical thoughts should repeatedly contemplate the principles established in the scriptures with prior research, according to their understanding.
That is called study.
Verse number 66.
One should engage a person in a task only after considering what qualities they possess, and never otherwise.
And a person who possesses certain qualities should be inspired to perform a task only after considering those qualities.
But a person who is not suitable for a particular task should never be inspired to perform that task.
Considering the virtues like religiosity that a person possesses, one should engage them in a task according to their qualities.
But never connect it in the opposite way. Sage Yajnavalkya has said that the king should appoint those who know dharma in religious work. In economic tasks, experts in economics should be appointed. Eunuchs should be kept for the protection of women. And low-ranking people should be kept in low-ranking tasks.
Sage Yajnavalkya has said that the king should appoint those who know dharma in religious work.
In economic tasks, experts in economics should be appointed.
Eunuchs should be kept for the protection of women.
And low-ranking people should be kept in low-ranking tasks.
O King, there are three types of people: excellent, mediocre, and inferior.
Therefore, they should be engaged in excellent, mediocre, and inferior tasks as appropriate.
In the Sabha Parva, Naradji has said that
O Bharat, if you do the opposite, the work will not be done.
The Pandavas were living in disguise, weren't they?
So everyone made proper arrangements for him.
So, Maharaj Yudhishthira became the advisor to King Virata.
He was sitting to give advice.
Bhim was assigned the kitchen.
Otherwise
Otherwise, if he had to make arrangements elsewhere in the kitchen, he would be immediately recognized the next day as Bhima.
But he manages everything in the kitchen, no one knows, all the work goes on.
So, if there is no proper selection, there will be trouble.
So this is a practice.
The person who is suitable for a particular task should be assigned to it.
Then he also becomes happy, and others also become happy.
If the first-ranked person is put in the second rank, and the second-ranked person is put in the first rank, then what happens?
What happens, brother?
Two tasks.
The one who is number one, he turns away.
Similarly, if there is a second-ranked person,
He will defeat me.
He destroys.
He damages.
If a second-ranked person is placed in the first position, what's the problem with that?
By turning everything around,
he spoils the work.
So, he spoils the work, and the other one gets damaged. Neither of them can do any work.
He said, if the first number is put in the first place and the second number is put in the second place,
then both will succeed.
And both will benefit.
And those who are going to take the results, they will also benefit.
So, a person who is endowed with certain qualities,
should not transgress.
Transgression means doing things in reverse.
So, he loses everything.
There are three types of people: superior, mediocre, and inferior.
In the past,
In the olden days, what was it? The queen's brother was
the minister.
He was the minister.
and advisor.
Everything.
It's the same now.
Now, there might not be a kingdom, but it's at home.
The queen's brother is the advisor.
And others, they find people from around, so they all run the same work.
It's not like that in today's companies.
In today's companies, his son is not his.
He finds a good person and brings him on rent.
And he keeps his son away.
In a very large worldwide company.
In our Indian company, it's always the queen's brother.
There are three types of people: superior, mediocre, and inferior.
Therefore, they should be engaged in appropriate superior, mediocre, and inferior tasks.
In the Sabha Parva, Narada Muni has said that
O Bharat,
It came in the Satsangi Jivan, didn't it?
In Raj Dharma,
what came?
Even if you get cheap labor, don't keep ten or twelve people.
But gather ten or twelve people and keep one person.
Keep it good.
That's what came in Raj Dharma.
It is practical dharma.
In the Sabha Parva, Narada Muni has said that, O Bharat,
A single buffalo is better, and a single buffalo gives good proof.
Why so many goats?
Why so many bad sons?
Why so many bad sons?
What does 'kagoliya' mean?
Hey, kagoliya means
goats.
Goats.
Goats have two teats on their neck.
Well, some special goats must have them.
They call them kagoliya.
So, if all those ten or twelve kagoliya are milked, how much milk will there be?
One glass each.
So, it makes ten to twelve glasses.
So, ten to twelve glasses means how much? It's three liters.
And a single buffalo is good.
If you keep one good buffalo, it gives twenty liters of milk.
So, keep one buffalo.
Not that.
In the Sabha Parva, Narada Muni has said that, O Bharat,
superior, mediocre, and inferior
You identify these three types of men and inspire them to do only the work they are suited for, don't you?
You are not making any mistakes, are you?
Commentary: As stated above, after describing the rules of dharma to be followed for the ultimate welfare of the jiva, one should engage in practical work.
Thus, the command given indicates for the appropriate good in practical work, as it is said, 'yadruchayahi'.
A person who possesses certain qualities should be inspired to do work that is suitable for those qualities.
But not in any other way.
If one is inspired without proper consideration, then such work will result in loss.
Even if there are suitable resources and wealth for that work in every way, if a person who is not fit for a particular job is asked to do it, then that resource and wealth will only be destroyed.
Those involved in worldly affairs should discern between right and wrong people and act accordingly with discretion.
Verse number 67.
All servants should be treated with food, clothing, and other necessities, and always honored according to their worth and wealth.
How is it in a company?
What do you call that?
To take him forward.
Promotion.
How does promotion work?
By looking at the work.
Huh?
By looking at their work, they move forward.
By looking at the performance.
He performs.
Or he is the queen's brother.
How is it for us?
Don't ask questions.
Huh?
Question?
Don't ask, don't ask.
Don't ask questions.
So, other countries succeed, but India doesn't achieve much success, and this is the reason.
That there is only one justice everywhere.
And there is no justice for merit.
Everywhere.
Even if there is a king, a minister, and a monarchy, there is still justice.
He came, so he quickly arranged for his son, and then he didn't have to do any work for the people, so how could he quickly arrange for his son?
How to arrange for his wife?
Look, Mr. K.C. has come here.
So his son-in-law, his daughter, his son, whoever was there, everyone got settled.
And Congress said, they all got settled.
Narendra Modi has no one else, so things are going well.
It's going well because there's no one; otherwise, if there were, everyone would be settled.
If this doesn't get arranged, then that one gets arranged automatically.
Those who are behind, they all get settled.
So it doesn't work properly.
Even though Clinton's wife was very strong, he couldn't arrange her.
He couldn't arrange it from behind.
That's why his is going well.
When all this is there, it doesn't work properly.
If we assign a person after seeing their qualifications, then there will be no problem.
Then it works well.
Are the right people cultivated or hired?
What did you say?
Are the right people newly cultivated, or are those who are already right hired directly?
No one is born right.
That's what you're saying, right?
What does cultivate mean?
Become.
Become.
So, right people are not born.
They have to become right in line.
Only 5% are born that way, and 95% become that way.
Modern science says so.
Scientific management says so.
Are genius people born or do they become so?
Are they born or do they become?
Geniuses are made.
They are born, but only 5% are born that way.
Napoleon Bonaparte, Churchill, Gandhi, and others like them who were born that way are only 5%.
But they do happen.
So we have a procedure, right? How does one become a genius?
They put in 5-10% more effort than they normally would.
And they spend a lot of time.
Long life.
And they apply it with interest.
So, a genius result must come from him.
And some are born that way, like Shankaracharya Maharaj.
But how many such are there, countable?
So, it's not like all people are right from the start.
They can be, too.
They can also take training, they can take training on their own.
One should have their own desire, a burning desire within.
Then that training.
can take.
If someone forces it on them, they won't take it.
Forcing it on someone doesn't make them the right person.
And making someone sit in a position doesn't make them the right person.
They need to have the burning desire within.
Then they become the right person.
If it's not within
We said, if a helicopter lands, does everyone become the right person?
If there's a helicopter landing, it's like putting a scarecrow there, it just happens.
That one hits fast.
If you don't know much.
So,
Training for competence can be taken now.
In olden times, it was believed that it is born.
Shankaracharya Maharaj was born.
If someone tries to mold Shankaracharya, he cannot be molded.
Ramanujacharya was born.
Like that, right?
But now everyone says that training can be taken.
And it happens.
Those who are born naturally are only 5%.
And people can become trained.
They can do good work.
Excellent.
Vachan Swami
Vachan Swami's question is that if someone is to be given a platform and placed at the first number, it is often seen that even if they don't have the skill, they get the platform and then learn more.
So sometimes they learn, and sometimes they can't do it, then they get demotivated.
So what to do?
When they don't learn?
They get demotivated.
They get demotivated.
They get demotivated.
Demotivated
If they get demotivated, what should be done then?
Like that?
So if they get demotivated, do we have to keep them aside?
If they get demotivated,
then you put a person in the right place, and if their performance is not good, what should you do?
Put them aside.
Side
Once they are put aside, there is no escape.
Or you can just deduct everyone's performance.
Or you finish it.
There is no other solution.
One person goes fast and another goes slow.
So if you want to match both of them, either deduct from the fast one.
Or push this one a bit.
So if this one cannot be pushed, then join it aside and take another one.
Join it and take another one.
That's what needs to be done.
And another thing, should we hire the right people or create the right people? Do both. If they can be created, then don't hire. If they can be created, why hire? Who spends money if they can get it for free? So if they can be created, then you got the principal's position here.
And if you select from the internal teachers, will they give you more fruit, or will helicopter landing of others give more fruit? Who gives?
Who gives?
Who gives?
They are trained.
From here, because they take your training, if you do helicopter landing, they don't take training.
They will give you training.
And they won't do what you want.
They won't complete your vision and mission.
And if this one has a little bit, and you motivate them a little, and put them in another similar place and give them training, then they will do a good job.
So the right people can be created.
And they can be taken directly.
When to take?
If there is no water in any of them today, then you have to bring water by pumping.
If there is no water in any of them, then what else to do?
Then he has to hire those.
If there is a little water in this and one or two people gather and make a well, then we can store it and do it.
But if no water comes out of any of them, then you have to hire.
Then we hire and put it in the summer, this Vishwamangal Swami.
They bring six bombs every day.
Sometimes, the training takes a long time, three or four years.
So what to do?
He's been hired.
So, a work starts, as if.
The one who is hired, he won't take your training.
If the one who is hired takes it, then it's a very good thing.
And then there's no problem with that.
If you spend money on him, it's not wrong.
But if he takes training.
Our vision and mission should be preserved.
Then no problem.
Verse number 67.
And all his servants should always be treated with due respect, providing them with food, clothing, etc., according to their capacity.
Those who serve him, such as servants and dependents, should always be provided with food, clothing, provisions, medicine, and other necessities according to his wealth, and they should be cared for properly, but not made unhappy.
In the Kashi Khanda of the Skanda Purana, nine are enumerated in the dependent class.
Such as mother, father, guru, wife, one's own children, those who depend on him for their livelihood, guests, those who seek refuge, and the fire for daily homa, these are the nine classes of dependents.
If these dependents are not maintained, then sin is incurred.
His own
Maintain him according to his status.
If one has facilities and his wife and children are dying of hunger, then that is not considered right.
If there are no facilities and everyone dies of hunger together, then no one is to blame.
What happens to everyone, happens to us.
But if he has facilities and he dies of hunger, then it is said that he did not nourish his dependents.
So all these are called dependents.
It is said in the dharma of householders that they should first provide for these and then for themselves.
And that's for everyone.
The main person should make all arrangements for everyone, looking after the people behind him.
This
If the dependents are not maintained, then sin is incurred.
This verse mostly refers to the responsibility of the main person, it comes more into the role of the main person.
If there is a main person in the house, a main person in the organization, even a king, then he should make his own arrangements later.
If the dependents are not maintained, then sin is incurred.
It is said in the Skanda Purana that maintaining dependents gives direct and indirect results. If maintenance is not provided, then sin is incurred.
Therefore, one should maintain them.
What is the direct result?
Everyone creates a mess in the house.
Strife.
They create all sorts of trouble and rebel.
And indirectly
If he does not support his parents, he incurs sin in the afterlife.
The maintenance of dependents yields both direct and indirect results.
If maintenance is not provided, then sin is incurred.
Therefore, one should maintain them.
The man on whom many others depend for their livelihood is the one who truly lives.
But the person who only feeds and nourishes himself is considered dead even while alive.
It is also said in the Mahabharata that who can be more cruel than the one who eats good and delicious food and wears good clothes all by himself, without properly providing for his dependents?
If it is the dharma of a householder and his parents are very unhappy.
If he is very rich,
then the scriptures do not speak well of him.
Some criticize him.
So that should not happen.
Because parents are called the dependent class.
When is it called the dependent class?
When they are not earning and are dependent on someone else's earnings.
So all of them are called the dependent class, worthy of being supported.
If they are earning, then why should they look to us?
Then they are not in the dependent class.
So, those who depend on someone else's earnings and sit looking at them are all considered to be in the dependent class.
Who can be more cruel than one who eats good, delicious food and wears good clothes by himself, without properly providing for his dependents?
In the Mahabharata, Shanti Parva, Raj Dharma, it is said that one should not be angry, speak the truth, use what is given to the dependent class appropriately, have forgiveness and compassion, have children only with one's wife, maintain external and internal purity, not harm any living being, maintain unity of mind, speech, and action, and support one's dependents. These ten types of duties are the same for all varnas.

No one is exempt from it.
Even renunciants.
Where renunciants live in a group.
Otherwise, if there are renunciants and solitary ascetics wandering around, they don't have any dependents.
But wherever there is community life, there are dependents.
And some who have gone into non-use buffer stock are all called dependents.
Either they are not in use.
And all of them have gone into non-use, lying in buffer stock.
They eat, drink, and enjoy.
So let them do it.
Commentary.
Those servants and attendants who serve or work for oneself or one's family,
There are servants who serve. In the past, kings, emperors, and wealthy people would serve them traditionally.
So all of them would have served their parents, and then if there were children, they would serve them, and the whole family would be in their service.
So all of them are called the dependent class, and one should take care of them.
If there is a wedding or an occasion at his house, then he should be made happy with everything.
And he keeps them only when he is capable; otherwise, if it's not affordable, he won't keep them.
Those servants and attendants who serve or work for oneself or one's family,
should be kept happy with food, clothing, etc.
If the householder has the cleverness to take care of his helpers, then that is a great virtue.
This is a very great quality.
What kind of quality?
The cleverness of the householder to take care of his helpers.
To keep happy those who help in one's work.
To take care of them a little, to take care of them from time to time.
That is a great skill.
But what if they don't follow the principles?
Then it cannot be done.
But that is a skill, what do you say, to take care of good people.
So good people should be made to do it slowly.
Slowly, he says.
So he says, 'Very good, very good.' Then the weak ones just give up, thinking, 'Nothing will work for us here.'
So they automatically give up.
If society becomes very good, then the weak ones give way.
And if many weak people gather, then the good ones give way.
It's not like both of them will just remain fragmented together.
One of the two usually gives way.
So if there is this cleverness and good people are gathered together,
then the weak ones just give up.
Either too much for him.
To nourish all of them is to nourish in the interest of the institution.
Any complex should be nourished in its interest.
And if he nourishes it, then the complex also benefits.
So if they are digging up the complex while sitting, then there is no need to nourish them.
If the householder has the cleverness to take care of his helpers, then that is a great quality.
We hear in the kingdoms of kings that Dasharatha Maharaja's servants were also the servants of Lord Ramachandra. Sumant Maharaj was there, all of them served to the extent of a prince.
But all of them were loyal families.
And they are loyal to the kingdom.
If one is loyal to the kingdom, then the king should take care of them, as they become his dependents.
And all of them were loyal to the kingdom at the cost of their lives.
Similarly, if someone is loyal to a family at the cost of their life, then they have to be taken care of.
This is the talk of all those who are comfortable.
Someone who goes to work and brings home food in the evening, who else would be loyal to him? He has to support his wife and children. He is loyal to them, so he has to take care of them.
But those who support entire families, that was the talk of those who are comfortable.
If the householder has the cleverness to take care of his helpers, then that is a great quality.
And he can also get his beneficial work done by a stranger.
Shri Hari says that
Duryodhana also had such a quality.
Duryodhana had such a good quality.
He immediately told Karna that he would give him this kingdom.
And he made him his favorite.
Now, even though he was the brother of the Pandavas.
He can also get his beneficial work done by a stranger.
Shri Hari says that
And many times he is not among good people.
Maharaja Yudhishthira could not save Shalya.
Duryodhana saved him.
And he was useful to Duryodhana.
In killing.
There were ten akshauhini armies, and he made the eleventh.
So all 11 came in handy.
But Duryodhana brought him, whose was he?
And who was to protect the army?
He did not commit any unrighteousness.
But who was to be protected? 11 akshauhinis gathered in him.
And if Maharaja Yudhishthira, who is good like us, sits idly saying, 'We are good,' and doesn't protect anyone, then no one will come to us.

There is a question from the previous verse.
That the companies in this world have a worldly vision and mission, so they can hire people and train them quickly.
And the vision and mission of our organization is called spiritual, so it takes some time, so is it appropriate to wish for speed or not?
Of what?
We wish for speed.
Of speed.
Growth, yes.
Growth happens quickly.
Is it appropriate to have such a wish or not?
It is not considered appropriate.
So should we wish for a minus?
If we don't gain speed, should we wish to go into minus?
Where is poverty in desire?
Should we keep poverty in desire?
Or should we say that if this doesn't happen quickly, it's better if we go into minus for ten years?
Should we keep that?
So what do you mean?
It's better if we go slow for ten years.
Huh?
It's better if we go slow for ten years.
That's what he means.
It doesn't happen just because you wish for it.
If we have a strong desire for speed, like, 'Let's say we made a 2020 mission, did the 2020 mission happen?'
That's work in progress.
You won't get that much quantity or quality.
If you search from a thousand and get quality from that, how will you get it from two or five?
So, there should be both perspectives: quality from quantity.
There should be both perspectives at the top level.
If there is quantity from this, then pay attention to quality, and if there is quality, then pay attention to quantity.
If quality is achieved, how to increase quantity and appropriately
There is a person who is a householder. Shastriji Maharaj used to say that Shastriji Maharaj was quality.
He said, "If I were a householder at home, what would I do if I became too much?"
I would become the village sarpanch.
Where would I get this much quantity?
So, if there is quality, then there is a need for quantity.
And if the quantity gathers, it doesn't become complete waste; there is some quality in it.
To extract.
And analyze it.
To make groups of it.
And make groups and extract quality from them.
And if quality is extracted, then the entire quantity immediately changes its grade.
He feels that it becomes an ideal, that this is what we are supposed to become.
So, both are needed.
There should be cross-thinking, the opposite of what is there.
If the quantity has increased, how to improve the quality now?
If we have quality, then how can we take advantage of this large quantity?
Do its cross-thinking.
It's finished.
Victory to Sahajanand Swami Maharaj.
