Ekadashi naam sarvasaam kartavyam vratamadarata Krishna janma dinanam cha Shivaratreshcha sotsavam

The nature of fasting, what fasting is, has been explained by Katyayan Muni and Vriddha Vashishtha Muni.

To turn away from all kinds of sins, to remain full of virtues, and to give up all kinds of worldly pleasures, this is called fasting, know this.

Chanting his name or mantra, meditating on him, listening to his stories, etc., and other virtues of those who fast, such as compassion, are mentioned.

In this shloka, the word 'tad' means 'his' or 'its'.

Therefore, by the word 'his', one should understand one's worshipped deity or the deity of that vow.

As per the characteristics mentioned above, to remain without food, free from all kinds of sins, and endowed with virtues, is called fasting.

It has been said earlier that one who fasts should not brush their teeth with any kind of green wood.

For that, Naradji has said that one who is fasting should purify and clean their mouth by gargling with water twelve times and by removing the coating from the tongue with a leaf strip or a splinter, etc.

In Vratarka, it is even forbidden to look at cooked food.

Seeing, smelling, remembering cooked food, speaking of its merits and demerits, and cooking for others, all this should not be done by one who is fasting.

Unable to perform a complete fast

In our big kitchen

Usually, the sweets to be cooked are cooked on Ekadashi because the cooks are free on that day.

It used to happen.

But in a big kitchen, it's not a problem.

There's nothing private like that.

One who is unable to observe a complete fast should consume fruits, etc.

It is stated in Nirnaya Sindhu and Naradiya Purana.

O beautiful one, a secondary fast is prescribed for weak individuals.

O auspicious one, the weak should consume roots, fruits, milk, and water during fasting.

However, it is said that no wise person should consume grain on Ekadashi.

In Ekadashi, etc., until Ashadh, the Lord has forbidden even roots, fruits, etc.

If a person consumes roots, fruits, etc., on these three fasting days: Shayani Ekadashi until Ashadh, Parshva Parivartini Ekadashi until Bhadarva, and Prabodhini Ekadashi until Kartik,

then consider that he is striking an arrow or a nail into my chest.

Eh

These are the major Ekadashis.

Jal Jelani, Nime, and Dev Diwali are the three major Ekadashis.

On that day, one should not consume fruits.

There is no fault if a sick person eats grain.

Because all fasts are to be observed by everyone except children, the elderly, and the sick; this is an exception, a concession has been given.

Even in this exception, according to one's capacity, the distinctions of secondary observances like 'nakta bhojan' (eating at night), eating in the evening before sunset, etc., are mentioned in the Vayu Purana.

Nakta bhojan, havishyanna, food other than rice, fruit, sesame, milk, water, ghee, panchagavya, or air.

This is progressively superior to the previous one.

That is, those mentioned later are superior to those mentioned earlier.

In the Laghu Naradiya Purana, it is said that on the day before the fast and on the day after, one should give up pleasures like flower garlands, sandalwood paste, etc.

One should observe celibacy for three days.

It is Dasham, Ekadashi, and Baras.

And for three days, on the previous day, one should eat only once; such a strict vow has been mentioned.

Not like we eat heartily on the evening of Dasham, the day before Baras.

O King, for these three days of Dasham, Ekadashi, and Baras, one should give up sandalwood, betel leaves, flower garlands, etc., as well as association with women and daytime sleep.

If Vishnu's worship and vigil are not performed on the day of the fast, the Ekadashi fast is a combination of three days.

So, when Durvasa came during King Ambarish's Dwadashi fast, it was actually an Ekadashi fast.

He had gone to Vrindavan to celebrate Ekadashi, and there he celebrated it on the day of Baras.

So, the Ekadashi fast is a combination of three days.

Therefore, the purity and rules of all three days must be observed.

If Vishnu's worship and vigil are not performed on the day of the fast, the fruit of the fast becomes half.

Therefore, Vaishnavas should observe the Ekadashi fast along with Vishnu's worship and vigil.

The method of the fast should be learned from Vrat Chandrika and other texts.

In the same way, on the day of the well-known manifestation of Lord Shri Krishna's Janmashtami and Ram Navami, one should observe fasts and other rituals with reverence and celebration.

Similarly, the Shivaratri fast should also be observed with a festival.

The method of all these fasts should be learned from the scriptures of those respective fasts.

On the days of all these fasts, it is said to celebrate festivals, perform grand worship of God with various types of songs and musical instruments, worship sadhus and Brahmins, and keep vigil while listening to and performing Katha, Varta, and Kirtan of Lord Shri Krishna.

On the day of fasting, one should not spend time doing worldly activities.

If there is a period of impurity due to death or birth on the day of the fast, one should observe the bodily rules and fast oneself, but the worship of the chosen deity and other rituals should be performed by a pure devotee who is not in a state of impurity.

In this way, if a woman is menstruating on the day of the fast, she should observe the rules and fast herself, and the worship and other rituals should be performed by another woman or man.

If these fasts of Ekadashi and others are not observed, what is the fault, and since these fasts are said to be observed permanently, they must be observed.

The word of Madhaviya Katyayana Muni is that if any person eats food day and night on Ekadashi, he should atone for it by observing the Chandrayana fast.

It is said in the Bhavishya Purana that if a person does not observe the fast on the birthday of God, he falls into the hands of Yama and has to suffer the pains of hell.

It is said in the Skanda Purana that there is no doubt that a person who does not observe such a supreme Shivaratri fast has to wander in this world for thousands of births.

It is said in the Narada Pancharatra that the fasts mentioned earlier are to be observed permanently.

The devotees of God, the Vaishnavas, must always observe the fasts that we mention below.

All pure Ekadashis, Vaman Dwadashi, Shri Ram Jayanti which grants divine powers, Shri Krishna Janmashtami, Nrusinh Chaturdashi, and Shivaratri, truly all these are said to be the main fasts to be observed.

Commentary.

If a fast is observed, God is extremely pleased, and if it is not observed, great harm occurs.

Shri Hari says that one such fast, which should be observed with love, is Ekadashinam Sarvasham.

The fast of all Ekadashis should be observed with reverence, along with the rules of fasting and other rituals.

Just as there is great respect for the fruit of meritorious deeds, so too should this fast be observed with reverence, with the feeling that 'I am doing this fast for myself'.

On the occasion of the birth anniversaries of God, one should also observe fasts.

Perform asanas and festivals with enthusiasm.

Here, the word Krishna is used in Krishna's birthday.

Krishna Janma Dina is the name of the Shivratri festival.

So, when Krishna's birth is mentioned, it doesn't just mean Janmashtami, or Shravan Vadi Ashtami.

The word Krishna is used here for Narayana and the incarnations of Narayana.

So, all the birthdays of God's incarnations are celebrated.

Krishna Janma Dina is the name, but Krishna Bhagwan's birthday comes only one day.

But Krishna Janma means all the incarnations of God.

The word Krishna is used here for the eternal Narayana.

And all his incarnations have their birthdays.

That means Vaman Dwadashi, Ram Janmi, Ram Navami, all those are birthdays.

So, of all the incarnations, then

It is famous in the scriptures and all the customs are followed.

So we do this much.

We celebrate Parshuram Jayanti, don't we?

Nrusinh Jayanti, Vaman Jayanti, Nrusinh Jayanti, on the day of Chaudas, Nrusinh Jayanti is celebrated.

Nrusinh Jayanti, Vaman Jayanti, Ram Navami and Janmashtami.

Shivratri.

And Shivratri, it is said that it is of God, but Shivratri comes on another day.

And so, Hanuman Jayanti was there at certain times.

But on Hanuman Jayanti, there is no such thing as fasting.

Bharatbhai Savaliya's question is that it was said to awaken, whether to do it all night or until 12 o'clock at night.

It was said to do as much as one has faith.

It is generally until 12 o'clock.

We, the saints, do jagran until 12 o'clock, wherever jagran is done, they do it until 12 o'clock.

So, if one has faith, and does it until 10:30 or 12 o'clock, it's better. The jagran is considered complete then, and there's no need for more jagran after that.

Everyone used to do Maharaj's until 4 o'clock in the morning during Maharaj's time.

But the saints used to say that jagran should be done until 12 o'clock.

Otherwise, do as much as you have faith.

Here, the word Krishna used in Krishna's birthday does not mean Krishna, the son of Vasudeva.

However, apart from that, the word Krishna has been used many times for all the common incarnations of God, and it is used and has been used.

Those who do not take birth, yet manifest in many forms, according to this Shruti, birth means to incarnate.

On the birthdays of God, the festival of God should be celebrated in a special measure.

It is said to observe a vow related to God, and then to observe the vow of a Bhagwat Bhakta, meaning a devotee of God.

The vow of Shankar Bhagwan, the vow of Shivratri, means the Bhagwat vow, the vow of a devotee.

And all those births are God's own vows.

Shiva is foremost among the devotees of Lord Shiva Shankar.

It is an authentic statement that Shiva is a great devotee of God.

That vow of Shivji should be observed with enthusiasm on the day of Shivratri, just like a festival of God.

Ekadashi, the birthdays of incarnations, and Shivratri, the vows of these days are to be observed daily.

Therefore, they are called daily vows.

In Narada Pancharatra, it is said that these vows are eternal for a Vishnu devotee, a Vaishnava.

So, not voluntary.

The meaning of 'nitya' is that we, brother.

During Chaturmas, one takes a voluntary vow, saying, 'I will do Chandrayan,' or 'I will do Dharna Parna,' or 'I will do Ektana.'

So those are called voluntary vows.

So, in this, it's not like someone says, 'I will observe the Shivratri vow,' or 'I will observe Janmashtami,' or 'I will observe Ram Navami.' It's not voluntary like that.

Everyone has to do it compulsorily, meaning daily.

And those vows that are to be observed, the eight rules taken, this chapter on rules is going on, isn't it?

So, in that chapter on rules, it is voluntary to do any one.

That much is made compulsory in it.

For example, all the Ekadashis of both fortnights of every month, up to Bhadarva Sud Baras.

Vaman Dwadashi and the tithi of the manifestation of Shri Ramchandraji.

The tithi of Chaitra Shukla Navami, which bestows extraordinary spiritual powers.

All the vows and festivals

And the method of service to Krishna

Should be accepted as stated by him.

And Shri Vallabhacharya, who is the king of all Vaishnavas, his son, Shri Vitthalnathji, used to make decisions regarding vows and festivals.

And all vows and festivals should be performed according to the decision made by Shri Vitthalnathji.

And the method of service to Shri Krishna, as stated by Shri Vitthalnathji, should be adopted.

In the Sampraday, when vows and festivals are to be performed, it is also necessary to understand the decision regarding which tithis should be observed.

First,

Firstly, the Vaishnava acharyas, who were the propagators of devotion to Shri Krishna Bhagwan, have passed away.

He says that one should accept the decision he has made regarding vows and festivals. Shri Vallabhacharya is like a king among all Vaishnavas. That is, being an acharya himself, he gives commands to his disciples. Shri Vallabhacharya had a son named Shri Vitthalnathji. He made decisions regarding the acceptable tithis for vows and festivals to explain them to the surrendered devotees.

Following the decision made by Shri Vitthalnathji, there is such a sentence in the Shikshapatri.

In it, the word 'only him' indicates that only the decision made by Shri Vitthalnathji should be accepted, and the decision of no other opinion should be accepted.

Do not accept any decision made by others.

Therefore, only the tithi decision for vows and festivals as stated by Shri Vitthalnathji should be accepted.

The decisions of both are different.

There is a difference in the tithi grahan of the Shiva Sampraday and the Vaishnava Sampraday.

In the Shiva Sampraday, mostly the previous tithi is observed where there is an option.

And mostly, Vaishnavas give more importance to the later Dwadashi, that Dwadashi should remain connected.

So, there are differences in decisions in some places.

So, you see, in the world, we observe Ekadashi late, and these people observe it on the previous day, or they might have observed it on the previous day, which happens in many places.

When there is no hesitation in the tithi, then there is no big problem now.

Therefore, the vow as stated by Shri Vitthalnathji

Maharaj has given all the decisions at two or three places.

In Harililamrut, tithi decisions are mentioned.

They had also come recently in Satsangi Jivan.

So, Vallabhacharya has made decisions according to what he has said, so we might not know about his scriptures.

Then, one should follow what is written in Harililamrut or Satsangi Jivan.

Therefore, only the tithi decision for vows and festivals as stated by Shri Vitthalnathji should be accepted.

We are showing it here in a very brief form.

For example, if the Dashami tithi is present for 54 ghadi and up to 59 pal, then its vedha does not affect Ekadashi.

But if the Dashami tithi is present for a full 55 ghadi, then the vedha of that Dashami falls on Ekadashi.

Vedha

Then the vedha of that Dashami falls on Ekadashi.

These tithis end sometimes earlier, sometimes later.

It was written like that in old decisions.

That this tithi is written as ghadi and then pal, it is written like that.

So it happens sometimes earlier, sometimes later.

There are two decisions on where a tithi starts and ends, from sunrise to sunset.

So, for many, the tithi is from 12 o'clock today to 12 o'clock tomorrow night.

Now, before that, Dasham goes up to 55 ghadi.

One day is 60 ghadi.

One ghadi is 24 minutes.

So, if Dasham is there up to 55 ghadi, there is no problem; it is not called vedha until then.

Today morning is Ekadashi.

And if Dashami comes until 55 ghadi of the night, or until 12 o'clock at night, when 55 ghadi remain, then it is not called vedha.

If it goes beyond that, up to 54 ghadi, it is not called vedha.

This 54

If it exceeds that, then it is called Ekadashi tithi with the vedha of Dashami.

So, in some places, such an Ekadashi tithi should not be observed for fasting.

But its decision has already been made in our decision; we don't have to do any calculations.

He gives the fruit to those who perform yagna with that thought.

In the same way, will Shri Hari, who has a beautiful heart, not consider those who worship him at any time as the king of all Vaishnavas?

He was Shri Vitthalnathji, the son of the Vaishnava Sarvabhauma Shri Vallabhacharya.

He composed a decisive text regarding Ekadashi and other vows related to Lord Shri Krishna, as well as festivals like Annakut.

My devotees should perform all vows and festivals according to that text, but they should not violate it.

From the last sentence, it is clear that if there is no clarity on a matter, that matter should also be taken from others.

If the decision for the Shivratri festival has not been made, then it should be taken in another way.

The decision regarding vows and tithis, and their various types, etc., whatever they may be, should be taken from that.

Similarly, the decision regarding festivals should also be taken from that.

Furthermore, the methods of serving the murti of Shri Krishna, as well as the clothes, ornaments, garlands of flowers, sandalwood, etc., that are seen during aarti and other rituals, and all the offerings like thal and bhog for God, should be accepted as stated by Vitthalnathji.

When to start and when to finish the sandalwood robes?

Then, when to start and when to finish the swings?

If one wants to offer or wear pavitra, when should one start and when should one finish?

If one wants to perform Arda, when should one do it and when should one finish it?

All those days are fixed.

So, it should be done accordingly.

If not done, that festival is considered null, meaning a null festival; the festival should not be allowed to become null.

And without a festival, it's very...

If there is no festival

Don't become too infatuated with love, as they say.

Whatever is needed at that time, all those things should be done.

If one is madly in love, then every day would be a full moon.

That no one gets Ekadashi every day, almost.

What comes on Purnima?

Ekadashi is difficult, so no one brings Ekadashi every day.

Is it that only red clothes are offered on Ekadashi?

As for red robes, we don't really know what was said in the decision.

We have seen all the traditions that have been passed down.

So, mostly red robes, red color, all these red colors are preferred more.

Don't women and people wear red colored clothes in weddings?

Now what is it

I don't know, but otherwise, in the olden days, they used to offer thal, and it was all red colored.

And the saints have written in kirtans, "Meri laal chunariya phaari re."

Torn, torn, my red chunariya is torn.

Kali took the new chunariya and tore it into pieces.

So, the red color must be more preferred by God.

That's why red robes are offered on Ekadashi.

Even among people, red color is more preferred.

That in weddings, mostly there is red color.

If the method of Vallabhacharya is said to be adopted, then why the method of Ramanujacharya?

The philosophy of Ramanujacharya has been mentioned.

The method of devotion of Vallabhacharya Maharaj was mentioned, both were mentioned separately.

The Vishishtadvaita philosophy is considered to be of Ramanujacharya.

And the method of serving God is said to be of Vallabhacharya.

On the day of Amas, if we offer black robes to Maharaj, what is the reason for that?

On the day of Amas, we offer black clothes and robes to Maharaj.

He is called Gop Ves, so

Well, only Vallabhacharya Maharaj knows that.

He has said this.

And Shriji Maharaj knows, both know.

We don't know why black is offered.

But Amas is a very heavy tithi.

So, God sits with a shield and sword on that day to protect his devotees.

So that no devotee faces any problem.

For the protection of devotees.

Ekadashi, grandfather, is his vow, isn't it?

If Ekadashi is his vow, then whose are Purnima and Amas?

What? Purnima and Amas.

Ekadashi is

Where is the vow of Poonam mentioned? It is not mentioned here.

Poonam is not mentioned.

Even if there is someone, we don't know much.

We don't do it, so we haven't delved deep into it.

So we don't know much about whose vow is Amas and whose is Ekadashi.

We know about Ekadashi, everyone observes Ekadashi.

They do Poonam.

Hey, they do Poonam.

Poonam is a holy day.

So then, many times, some vows are kept public, whoever wants to take them, takes them.

I am doing this Poonam for Maharaj.

And this Poonam, I am doing it for Dakor, for Dwarkadhish, and this Poonam is

Poonam is public for everyone.

So, whether they are devotees of Lord Ramachandra or devotees of Hanumanji, everyone performs it.

So, whatever one does keeping their chosen deity in mind, that is counted.

We haven't read much about this anywhere, nor have we delved deep into it. If anyone is interested and delves deep into it, please let us know.

Verse number 83

One should perform the pilgrimage to Dwarka, the chief of all holy places, according to the prescribed rituals, and all should, according to their capacity, be affectionate towards the poor.

And all those who are my dependents should undertake pilgrimages to Dwarka and other holy places according to their capacity and prescribed rituals.

And also, according to one's capacity, one should be compassionate towards the poor.

The place whose doors, gates, and entrances are very good is called Dwarka.

Purani Swami used to say that.

That Lord Shri Krishna fled from Mathura and took everyone to Dwarka, where they were sleeping at night, and he changed them.

The change was made at night while everyone was sleeping.

Lord Krishna fled from Dwarka, from Mathura, with Kaliyavan.

And came and settled in Dwarka.

Then all those who were there, he took them while they were sleeping at night.

So then, when they woke up in the morning, they said that Dwarka was inside the sea.

So, from 'Dwar Kaha' (where is the door), it became Dwarka.

Purani Swami used to say that.

But in this scripture, it is said that whose doors are beautifully decorated.

God used to live there, so everyone had wealth like that of the gods.

It was called the golden Dwarka.

So everyone makes a big show on the door, only then will everyone see it, otherwise not.

Whatever is inside, then it works.

If the whole house is clean, then there is no problem.

But the door should be properly decorative.

That's why it's called Dwarka.

The place whose doors, gates, and entrances are very good is called Dwarka.

Dwarka is a city like a peninsula on the western coast of Gujarat Saurashtra, which was once the capital of Lord Shri Krishna.

My devotees should undertake pilgrimages to Dwarka and other holy places according to the prescribed rituals and their capacity.

Humans, by which they cross the ocean of worldly existence.

Maharaj has considered Krishna avatar as the main one, so everything is imagined based on the idol.

So it is described as the main one.

If we worship the idol of Maharaj,

Then Gadpur, Vartal, Chhapaiya, all these are placed.

One should undertake a pilgrimage there.

Because the places where one worships an idol are considered pilgrimage sites.

Maharaj mostly expounded on the Shri Krishna avatar, so Dwarka is considered the main pilgrimage site.

So we can make a pilgrimage to Dwarka, but whatever divine acts Maharaj has performed,

And by visiting the places where Maharaj has performed more divine acts and the places of Maharaj's prasad, we attain more peace.

That by which humans cross the ocean of worldly existence is a tirtha (holy place).

Tirtha means a holy place.

It is said 'Tiryate anena'.

And by going there, a person crosses over.

Tirtha means a holy place.

Pilgrimages and festivals in tirthas mean going to tirthas and performing the great worship of the deity of that tirtha.

To worship.

To feed sadhus and Brahmins, and to perform other such festivals.

What should I do at a pilgrimage site?

What should I do?

To close.

So what should I do at a pilgrimage site?

What is the specialty of a pilgrimage site?

It is the memory of the divine pastimes that God performed there.

It is prasad.

But from where would it have been done?

Lord Shri Krishna did it 5000 years ago, and Lord Ramchandra did it a hundred thousand years ago.

And it's been 200 years since Maharaj.

So,

A special

Is there any dust there?

If the atonement for sins passes, then there is a remedy.

But if there is some specialty, then there will be a remedy, right?

If not?

So the specialty is

From where has the Sarayu river washed Ayodhya so many times?

So what is the specialty there?

So what should I do at a pilgrimage site?

What should I do, brother?

To connect with the influence of God's relationship that is there.

The resolutions that God has made, those resolutions are not destroyed.

There is no destruction of effort.

Time cannot destroy the resolution that God has made.

No maya can trample it,

So, the thoughts that God has had are for the welfare of the jiva.

And the resolutions made for the welfare of the jiva are roaming in the celestial sphere there.

So, if someone goes there with a desire for liberation, for welfare,

then they get the benefit of that frequency.

Just as there are all these phone frequencies.

They even sold it there for one lakh crore.

That frequency was being sold.

So frequency is reality.

Now, even though we cannot see such frequencies, they have all sold them.

And they are using it now.

So, all the waves that God has started are there.

And who gets the benefit of that frequency?

Receiver

The one who has a receiver.

So, to take advantage of God's frequency,

how is it taken?

By need.

That I want to go to God.

If one has such a desire for liberation, a demand, a need, and goes there with such a feeling,

then even if it has been completely scattered,

When we go to Mathura, at Vishram Ghat, most of the time it's not even worth bathing.

The water has become so dirty.

So, they can't bathe there.

Even then, God's frequency is not gone.

The water might have become dirty, the streets might have become dirty.

All that might be there.

But who can damage the resolution that God has made?

Time cannot even damage the resolutions of great saints.

So, if one goes there and cultivates a desire for liberation, then what God has

It comes in Maharaj's Harilamrut, doesn't it?

It comes in Harilamrut that Maharaj sat down to perform the groundbreaking ceremony of the Vadtal temple.

So all the Brahmins of Umreth started chanting Vedic mantras.

And then, after chanting the Vedic mantras, they gave water to Maharaj.

Make a resolution.

Why are you chanting mantras? You want to build this temple.

Make a resolution.

Then Maharaj must have made some resolution.

That through this, infinite jivas will go to Akshardham.

He must have made such a resolution.

That resolution is still there.

If the Gadhada temple was built.

Maharaj must have had the Brahmins make a resolution then.

And perhaps there was no opportunity to make a resolution sometimes.

Well, Maharaj had built temples systematically with planning.

And sometimes there was no opportunity.

When Lord Shri Krishna built Dwarka, where was the opportunity to make a resolution?

Everything had to be built overnight.

In an emergency,

meaning, in an emergency, one might not have made a resolve.

But still, God's resolve is always there.

That resolve is,

that is, Krishna is eternally present.

In Mathura, it is said that Krishna is eternally present.

So, Lord Shri Krishna's eternal presence is there,

how can that be physically possible?

So, in that way, if Lord Rama's eternal presence is in Ayodhya, then the Sarayu River has washed away Ayodhya many times.

When we went on the first train in '71, Ramghat and Lakshmanghat were very far away.

And after that, building this embankment and all that happened afterwards.

So, the Sarayu keeps changing everything like this.

So, how can there be an eternal presence there?

How can it remain?

But still, it does remain.

So, God, through His resolve, has made many benevolent resolves.

Day by day, Maharaj makes new resolves for the welfare of jivas; Lord Shri Krishna must be doing that, Lord Rama must be doing that.

Those resolves are still as they were.

They roam in the celestial sphere.

Any mumukshu who needs it goes and does it.

Going there,

one performs such seva and, going there, makes a resolve in accordance with it.

The frequencies are always circulating everywhere.

One places a receiver and turns it on,

and the frequency is caught.

And the picture appears to me.

In that way, God and great saints have made divine resolves.

Resolves for one's own welfare are not called kalyan sankalp.

Resolves made for the welfare of others are called kalyan gun.

So, the stronger the resolves of kalyan gun that God has made,

the stronger that tirtha becomes.

And whoever goes there gets the benefit.

If one goes there and makes a resolve in accordance with it, then one gets the benefit.

If I go to Vadtal and do business, I won't get it.

For business, one has to go to the market and make a resolve for it to happen.

Because the frequency is there.

In the market, not here.

So, going there and making a resolve, that is its sacredness.

Most tirthas have become dirty.

Mostly.

Especially on Bhai Bij, it becomes impossible to go to Mathura.

Because there are millions of people.

Where do they go to the toilet?

So, one cannot go outside there.

So, everyone sits down in the market wherever it's convenient.

And sometimes there is rain.

So, everything becomes muddy; we went once or twice by bus, and at that time, there was a lot of mud.

And we didn't get the benefit of Bhai Bij, but we went after Bhai Bij, so we got some benefit.

So, all this happens.

Such things mostly happen in tirthas.

But even then, the greatness of a tirtha

is based on its founding personalities.

And that never goes away.

It never goes away.

It remains as long as the universe exists.

God's resolve is,

it remains until this universe is destroyed.

So, when we go to a tirtha,

we should not have an atheistic attitude there.

This is so dirty.

Instead, one might say, 'Let's go to a clean place like Ooty.'

Or sit on a handia, Ooty and handia sit.

Or go to Kodaikanal.

In Kodaikanal, who would be making resolves there?

So, the बात is true.

That we don't have the same upkeep as America, otherwise, tirthas should be maintained.

They should be kept clean.

If it were America, they would keep it very well.

But still, a tirtha is a tirtha.

The benefit there is this.

Maharaj said that when Narnarayan Bhagwan performs tapas, who gets the benefit? Why don't everyone follow?

Why doesn't everyone follow God's path?

Because they don't get the frequency.

God has already transmitted the frequency.

They don't put a receiver and get the station on.

If they get the station, they will get the benefit until now.

Similarly, wherever Shriji Maharaj performed His divine pastimes, there is a great

Big resolutions and so on come.

Resolutions for the welfare of jivas and so on come.

That resolution is still as it is, who can damage it?

Time cannot damage it.

That resolution is there as it is.

And it roams in the sky.

If someone goes as a mumukshu (seeker of liberation)

And cherishes that sentiment

Then he gets the benefit.

That is why it is a tirtha (holy place).

Otherwise, it would not be called a tirtha.

In this tirtha, there are sadhus and brahmins to feed, those who run the tirtha, or the pujaris of the tirtha.

Their intention may not be good.

So then do as needed.

Do as needed.

People and their businesses should do as needed.

But the benefit in a tirtha is this.

The sacredness of the tirtha is instilled by God.

And no one can alter it, even now.

If Shri Krishna Bhagwan performed divine sports there, and Shri Krishna Bhagwan made resolutions for the welfare of jivas, then those resolutions are still there.

And that is obtained.

Mathura, Ayodhya, it's been five thousand years for them.

And then next to it, the wild Yamuna and Sarayu rivers are such that they can cause upheaval.

In five thousand years, how much upheaval would have occurred.

So where were they, who were they, how would one know?

So, the two disciples of Chaitanya Mahaprabhu, Jiva Goswami and Rupa Goswami, were very accomplished great souls.

So they went to all these tirthas

And they, so to speak, placed receivers there, and in their resolution, they felt, "No, this is correct."

So then they decided that here, Shri Krishna Bhagwan performed this divine sport, and here Shri Krishna Bhagwan performed this divine sport.

Currently, there won't be any temple in Vrindavan that is older than 500 years.

Even if there is, how could it be from the time of Shri Krishna Bhagwan?

After that, how much work would time have overturned?

Even then, that tirtha is the same.

Because all these great souls, their intellect was purified by penance, and they had attained a frequency with Shri Krishna Bhagwan.

That, where did you make this resolution?

Then move back and forth.

Don't you see the water?

The coconut falls upside down, sideways, and so on.

So these great souls traveled a lot there

And they found those tirthas and then re-established them there.

So Chaitanya Mahaprabhu passed away not too long ago.

So he restored all those tirthas, he revived the tirthas.

He restored the tirthas and determined those tirthas, saying, "Where is Rama's birthplace? Here."

Where is Kanak Bhavan? Here.

Where is the coronation, Rama's coronation place? There.

Then devout people built temples there.

Then instead, the business people who were there, they built many more next to it. Come on, bring it, they were here too.

So the business people, those business people, not those company people.

They are business people like us.

We all have to do business, everyone.

So someone might have seen that water comes out well here.

So if someone like me needs money, they take a coconut and go, saying, "Water will come out here too, and here too."

Water will come out everywhere.

Water comes out if it's there; for us, no matter how much we dig, it doesn't come out even at 2000 feet deep.

If someone tells you there, then it's correct that water will come out here.

If he plays the sambelu (a musical instrument), then he is a craftsman.

Because of them, those tirthas become sacred lands.

A tirtha is that by which a human being crosses the ocean of worldly existence.

So they cross over.

God has made the resolution to liberate there.

Standing there, he made such a resolution.

If one acts according to that resolution and attains its frequency, then one crosses over.

So that is the specialty of a pilgrimage site.

A pilgrimage site is that by which humans cross the ocean of worldly existence.

A pilgrimage site means a holy place.

Pilgrimages and festivals at holy sites mean going to those holy sites and performing grand worship of the deity of that holy site, of God.

Feeding sadhus and Brahmins, etc.

He remembers God,

and worships Him.

Meditate on Him.

On that occasion, make some holy resolution.

Then it succeeds.

For example, if one has been to Gadhada, one remembers Maharaj, or if one has been to Chhapaiya, one remembers Maharaj.

Let us make some holy resolution.

That in life, we observe some vows and rules.

By attaining what Maharaj has resolved.

That Maharaj has made a resolution for the welfare of the jiva.

And to tell Maharaj, "Maharaj, please do our welfare."

So when they are giving sadavrat, they don't refuse anyone. Sadavrat is open, meaning, "Come all who are hungry." So if we go, our work is done. We are hungry.

The sadavrat is open, meaning, "Come all who are hungry." So if we go, our work is done. We are hungry.

So Maharaj has opened such a sadavrat for the welfare of the jiva there, and has made a resolution, and if one goes to that place and makes a corresponding resolution, then one's welfare is achieved.

So the jiva crosses over.

When a jiva crosses over, it is called a tirtha.

Pilgrimage is the root of devotion to God.

Therefore, all our dependents have been commanded with these words, addressing all dependents.

Ugrashrava has said that, O Brahmins, by serving the Satpurush and by undertaking pilgrimages to holy places, the faithful and those desirous of liberation who wish to hear discourses develop an interest in the discourses of Shri Vasudev Bhagwan.

It has been said thus, according to one's ability and capacity.

Those who are unable to undertake pilgrimages to many holy places should at least undertake a pilgrimage to Dwarka.

Dwarka has been given prominence among holy places because one's chosen deity, Lord Shri Krishna, resides there permanently.

It is said in the Eleventh Canto that, O Maharaj, Dwarka, abandoned by God,

was submerged by the ocean in an instant, except for the abode of God.

Lord Madhusudan Shri Krishna, who averts all inauspiciousness merely by being remembered, and who is auspicious even amidst all auspiciousness, resides there eternally even today.

He is eternally present.

In that way, He resides in the form of a resolution.

Sometimes it is said that God resides in the form of the Bhagavata.

Similarly, in a pilgrimage site, He resides in the form of a resolution.

Maharaj would have descended in that way.

Maharaj is in Maharaj's places.

The shloka is complete.

It's remaining.

Victory to Sahajanand Swami Maharaj.
